He is an absolute fraud. How the hell he was elected as a leader of a significant country in the world I have absolutely no idea. You must look to yourselves UK.
At the time, the left wing parties were trying to overturn our democratic vote for Brexit. They also had Jeremy Corbyn as the opposition. The country had no choice but to vote for Boris and the Conservatives. If I could go back in time I'd change nothing.
I was going to reply to Piskie that there was a good documentary on RT a while back about it. I did mention it on here, but then a day or two later RT got taken down. It was a good if but grim watch, and didn't portray Ukrainians in a good light. I realised it was propaganda so purposely avoided searching any content, but it's like any war, always keep an open mind. Don't just ignore atrocities just because the Western media don't show them. There is usually a lot more to the picture.
The right wing ultra nationalist element was fairly obvious in the "revolution" that overthrew the then president and they probably sucked some folk in under the banner of stopping the drift towards Russia that was taking place.
Interesting when you read old articles like this... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/may/28/euro-2012-ukraine-sol-campbell All places currently being highlighted in the news today. Kiev, Donetsk and Kharkiv, not forgetting alot of the racism some people were experiencing/reporting trying to leave the Ukraine. Quote one comment from the linked article: In an interview with Panorama , the former England defender Sol Campbell bluntly says Uefa was wrong to give Euro 2012 to Poland and Ukraine because of their failure to get to grips with racism. He tells fans: "Stay at home, watch it on TV. Don't even risk [going] … because you could end up coming back in a coffin."
Funnily enough, article from the times today on azov battalion https://www.not606.com/threads/the-politics-thread.304544/page-3740#post-15715604
He took over just as the U.K. was beginning to recover from the impact of an international banking crisis, and proceeded to drive both the country and it’s economy of a cliff. The utterly useless, spineless ****ing weasel.
Definitely not my imbecile. And I would like to take this opportunity, to distance myself from my brain dead spastic fellow countrymen who voted for the clown-shoe wearing ****
Never forget the last time Labour were in power, never forget it was the same person that wanted the EU to move and engulf as much of the East as possible, never forget the last time Labour were in power, they were mass murderers, the consequences of what we are still living with today, NEVER forget... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image This is what happens when you vote Labour.
Genuine question. Do you think a Conservative govt would have gone against the intel and George Bush at the time and refused to support the US in an invasion in Iraq ? I’m not supporting Blair here, I’m just wondering under what premise you think a Tory govt would have done it differently, if at all ?
Israel is one of the only countries in the political West that maintains genuinely close ties to both Russia and the Ukraine, so it does have a weirdly strong chance of playing a key role in bringing about a final peace agreement. But its relationship with Russia is indeed complex. Historically because Israel is home to appx 1.2million citizens of Russian descent (close to 15% of the entire population), many of whom hold dual citizenships and most of whom still have family ties back in Russia. More recently, Israel has been strongly reliant on Russian largesse to have free reign in over Syrian airspace, where the mysterious disappearance of various chemical weapons factories or convoys of Iranian-made munitions on their way to Hezbollah in Lebanon are down to the carte blanche Russia gives Israel in its struggle against the Assad regime and Iran's regional proxies. So it toes a fine line and many consider Israel joining the UN condemnation of the invasion as a minor diplomatic miracle, given the fury that vote provoked from Moscow. Israel also has multiple aid agencies working on the ground in Ukraine. But to take the next step and join sanctions and/or ship weapons to Zelensky? Not a chance.
That doesn't matter. It's irrelevant. Labour were the government and that's what they done. Scumbags.
Exactly my thoughts and why I couldn't be arsed to respond to it. Why can people never accept and wear, the past failings of their alternative party. It would be like me saying, what would Labour have done different in the care homes, to stop the elderly dying, what would Labour have done if we were still in the EU, waiting for a vaccination, what would Labour have done with lifting our freedoms, what would Labour have done in supplying the Ukraine with military assistance. It's all irrelevant, because Labour are not in power, as much as I mock Captain Hindsight, I can't hold him accountable - The Tories have to own it, in same way Labour have to own the massacres related to the Middle East. Let's not forget though, Blair still pushes his EU ideology even today into the right wing countries https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36130006, no wonder Putin was pissed off. People will argue I went right wing by voting brexit, I've never denied I'm a nationalist, but the reason I hate the EU because it had become a super state, although some would argue it's not quite a Federal State yet, I wanted out before it became a point of no return, the same point of return to that Putin wants back with the old USSR.
I agree the war in Iraq was an abomination. I also agree it’s supposition to presume what one or another party would do when it comes to the nuances of domestic policies. But when the US were demanding that the UK followed them into war, George Bush was pushing for an invasion and UK politicians were being fed dodgy intel, I doubt a Conservative govt would have said no.
