Why dont Cameron jump in a transit and deliver wood logs and matches to all the old people who can't afford to heat their homes this year. Soggy biscuit ****er don't fool me with his pr stunt.
Maybe he could give some of the slave reparation money that his family recieved until 2015'? Talk about bluffing the public
Zelensky wondering why a country that invaded and illegally occupied another people's land, made millions refugees, commits war crimes and bombs hospitals won't condemn the actions of Russia lol. Zelensky has pointedly questioned why some countries officially appear to be indifferent to Russia’s invasion of his country or sitting on the fence, in an address to members of the Israeli parliament. Israel - which has ties to both countries - has taken a somewhat neutral position during the war. In his virtual international tour, President Zelensky has proven skilful at adapting his message to different groups of lawmakers. Zelensky - who is Jewish - also compared the actions and words of Russia to those of Nazi Germany in the Second World War. And then he asked why Israel was not sending ammunition and hadn’t posed sanctions on Moscow in line with many Western countries. Israel’s prime minister has positioned himself as a mediator in the conflict but has also appeared reluctant to antagonise Russia, an important military player in the Middle East.
One big Chess game. I noted that Erdogan has also positioned himself as a neutral in order that he can act as a mediator. Turkey is a NATO country, so he's treading a fine line between being compelled to act should any NATO territory come under attack, and being a conduit for communication with Putin. I'm no fan of Erdogan, his own human rights record is pretty atrocious and his Govt have been responsible for torture, mass arrest of journalists, opposition figures, forced disappearances, deaths in custody etc, especially since the failed coup a few years ago. But as easy as it is to say 'We should all condemn Putin' we need to make sure that he doesn't become so isolated that nobody knows what he's going to do next, or that he feels that he's boxed into a corner, where he will become desperate and unpredictable. As difficult as it seems to hold diplomatic relations with somebody who is flagrantly targeting civilians, schools, hospitals etc it is necessary in the long run to try and rein him in.
I highly doubt Turkey would honour their NATO commitment should NATO and Russia ever go to war. I wouldn't be surprised if Erdogan passes NATO secrets directly to Putin.
Anybody know anything about that Azov Battalion that are part of the Ukranian Army ? They've been fighting Russian separatists for a few years on the Eastern borders of Ukraine. Seem to be sketchy as **** with their roots firmly planted in Neo Nazi leanings. I ain't about to go all Aber about it. But seems like that's what Putin is talking about when he mentions 'de-nazification' Thoughts ?
Erdoğan doesn't give a **** about Putin and Russia. He blasted one of his planes out the sky for encroaching on Turkey airspace and Vlad took it on the chin.
Bunch of racist ****s who would wipe anybody non-white from the face of the Earth if they had their way. Some of their members filmed themselves dipping their ammo in pig fat in preparation to fight the Muslim Chechens. I stand to be corrected but I believe they were formed when Putin took Crimea and they've been fighting in the Donbass region ever since. There's plenty of these groups in Russia but Putin has never went after them. The Azov battalion are no threat to Russia. He's using it as an excuse.
Yeah that seems to be about the measure of it. They are far right scumbags, and it does seem problematic to me that they have been incorporated into the national guard. It's like the UK govt signing up Combat 18 to fight for the British Army, but that said, I know that's a simplistic comparison to make as the politics and nationalism issues based in Eastern Ukraine and Russia are more complex than that. AND Eastern europe does still have a problem with far right fascist politics, which is not limited to Ukraine or Russia either. But I agree, it's no premise to invade an entire country and indiscriminately bomb the **** out of the civilian population.
At the time the Azov brigade were formed and attached to the National military, the Ukrainian army was weak. It had nowhere near the manpower or weaponry that it has now and the members it did have were poorly trained. The Azov battalion has stopped Putin from doing what he wants in Ukraine. He'd have took it all years ago if it wasn't for that lot.
There are all sorts, in all countries, left, right and those who just want to get on with their life. It doesn't justify bombing them because you don't like one aspect of their society. Russia has a legitimate concern about NATO and the EU but what gives them the right to kill to make that point?
Neo Nazis fighting to protect Ukrainian freedom. Surprised Boris ain't likened them to Brexit voters In all seriousness though, it's interesting that you have a group like this fighting to protect Ukrainian soil and I guess it's something that the Western Media won't really want to talk about.
