What the **** is happening to PSG and Pochetino? After that disgraceful collapse against RM, we now have the humiliating defeat 3-0 by an apparently “out of form” Monaco. it honestly could have been 5 or 6 -0 as the number of open goal misses by Monaco was simply unbelievable. PSG were an absolute shambles. At this rate we will be employing an out of work Pochetino if we are still going for him.
In the sports news. He's at Monaco but leaving there to come to us as new DOF possibly? Only appointed Murtough about a year ago
I don't think so, he's apparently a very good friend of Rangnick's. He came over a month ago and watched the U18's with him. I'm just repeating what I've read. Don't really know much more tbh.
Only worried because Poch ****ed up Spurs and has now completely ****ed up PSG, we don't need ****ing up any more
One of the candidates mentioned recently was Ancelotti and he's just been humiliated by Barcelona 4-0 ...at home. What the **** is happening to managers associated with Utd ? The "curse"? Ten Haag had losses too including being unexpectedly dumped by Benfica.
Ancelotti looks an old man now, no way should be be brought back to manage us. He's just one of the old hat managerial merry go round guys, it's not worked before and it won't work with him. Although, probably a better bet than Poch even then. Ten Haag, Tuchel (obviously depends on the Chelsea situation, he's not an option if they are sold smoothly) Louis Enrique and Conte should be the candidates.
Looking at our remaining games, we really should win six of them, if we've any hope of top four. The games against Liverpool, Chelsea and, especially, Arsenal are the tough ones.
It's the hope that kills . Not a cat in hell's chance of Utd getting a CL place this time and I'm the eternal optimist.
Bloody hell, you would like to think that his ship has sailed after his bad spell at PSG. Looks like its down to Ted Hag or Phil Mitchel
This is from a Sky Sports take on our search for a new manager - The quote is supposedly from 'someone' at the club. "United's new permanent manager will be derived from the four-man shortlist unless "there is a massive change in circumstance and a top manager that fits the long-term direction suddenly becomes available." Who might this 'top manager that fits the long-term direction' be and why aren't we going all out for them now. It's as if we're settling for second best from the start. If we can blow £100m on a player we can surely spend as much to buy-out the existing contract of any manager manager on the planet.
Maybe I'm missing something but we've had 4 months. What is left to "derive"? I thought they would've used the time to sound out and decide on the manager.
Shows that Utd are still a massive club: even its **** ups are on a grand scale unequalled by any other club.
And Ted Hag (as you call him) has just ****ed up like some novice by being dumped from the CL by Benfica 3-0 at home! If I were a manager at a top club, I’d dread being linked to the Utd job. It is literally the kiss of death. Just had an idea: why don’t we announce that Arteta and Conte as potential candidates so that we can have Arsenal and Spurs losing easy matches like PSG and Ajax? And give us a faint hope of getting into 4th.
I'm assuming this means they're hedging their bets for if Conte or Tuchel become avalable. They would then become candidates. Prefer the long term plan idea of Ten Hag myself, although Tuchel could be that. Would really like Louis Enrique to be properly considered as well.
