The pre match interview was with Paul and Clive Allen...Paul won an fa cup with them but made it obvious throughout that he is a spur
It’s been a good week for Spurs. How quickly things change. Utd are going to have to beat Arsenal away. That would potentially level up at bit
Buzzing! You picked a good game to come back too, RCL, so welcome back, mate We were owed that after our shoddy performances in derbies this season. We pretty much bossed the game from start to finish and only a piece of idiocy from Doherty really allowed them back into it. Kane and Son stealing the limelight with two assists for the former and a brace for the latter but just like against Brighton, I thought Bentancur and Romero were brilliant with the Uruguayan yet again just edging the Argy. Kulusevski (also again) played very well, our front three are a real force now and work so well together as well as with those around them, if we get a top RWB to partner Kulu down that flank, Conte’s system could really begin flourishing. The concourse in the south stand after the game went off, missed that type of performance and atmosphere after a derby.
It was a decent performance, though I still feel we didn't create enough and we weren't clinical. They looked tired and only really threatened from set-pieces though, where we were poor, again. Why is Son back defending corners at all? He's possibly the worst header of a ball I've ever seen. Leave him up the pitch and they'll draw more players back to deal with his pace. Bentancur was excellent and I don't think that anyone really had a poor game. Reguilon, perhaps? Still doesn't look 100% since he returned to the side and his decision making is off. Fair play to Anthony Taylor today. He was superb. Broke up our play really well and took up some excellent positions to cut out our passing. I doubt West Ham will pick up a finer holding midfielder in the next few seasons.
Was there on the concourse...20mins singing West Ham got battered...and a few renditions of Antonio plus an ode to Judas Fantastic way to end a great first trip back.
The blow up cats being thrown around the crowd were great No idea why they played him.. the abuse he got was relentless and was always gonna be...and boy did it get to him. Antonio was not only poor but was a real prima-dona.
I really like him and he's already convinced me he's an improvement on what we had in December. However.... 100% only means something when the 'of' is significant. 100% of 1 ain't that impressive.
I forgot to add, as me and my cousin were walking down the high road before the game, Skipp walked right by us. Seemed to be moving fine which was good to see, was with who I presume were his parents and other family or friends, was heading towards the executive/ premium entrance thingy.
Only just back after spending an hour on the south concourse . Hasn't been an atmosphere like that for a long time.
