We are probably pound for pound 1/2 stone lighter than most players in this division and it shows in 50/50’s the oppos come away with the ball more. I like creative players but they must be able to fight their corner or be a bit naughty too, so often they focus on just nicking the ball instead of ‘making sure ‘ they get it. We must increase our possession

KLP and Fleming probably the least bullied players on the pitch. Both proper ull lads, hardly surprising as I was lucky enough to grow up playing against them.

****s sake, calm the **** down, it’s a football forum, it doesn’t do to be precious, and if you are it’s probably not the place to be.

Some on here seem to be impressed with Luton I thought they were as open as we were and barely strung more than a couple of decent moves together. They were stronger we gave them opportunities but the game was like watching paint dry . After 25 mins we seemed to get our act together and pushed them well but our players lacked the energy they showed at Cov , that’s probably why . Smallwood can’t put two hard working games in a week together so we need energy and passing and Doch doesn’t have it. Any way hope the summer is as good as we all hope

Watching paint dry is the classic away performance isn’t it? Get an early goal kill the crowd off
Stroll in the park for them after that

That Adebayo is a championship dream of a striker everything Eaves should be given his stature. Also shows the value still in the English leagues shouldn’t be cast off now given he was playing league 2 18 months ago

    Hull City manager Shota Arveladze:

"It's difficult to explain. Football can be really unfair. I still believe we didn't really deserve to concede three goals.

"We could have stayed in the game, but, unfortunately, it happens. We made mistakes and that is the difference at home and away - and we need to be better.

"We make more mistakes at home than away, it's as simple as that. I don't want to blame anyone. I don't think it's about away or home - it's just about football.

"Our supporters are unbelievable and they stayed with us until the last whistle.

"We have a lot of small injuries, but we disappointed them at home again and we will try to win them back."

Surely we all agree. Does not kindle any postive thoughts about Shota's abilities as a manager.

Is that supposed to be funny, or is it a serious question aimed at anyone in particular?

Cant really work out your question tbh.

    Always a flip side.

I tend to read more than post these days especially at weekends. Years of reading various forums allows you to both recognise and identify click bait trolling and plain stupidity…hence the ignore button.

I’m in the back row now …suits me fine.

On the subject of us being soft, have we scored a header from a corner yet this season? I'm pretty sure the last centre back to score for us was Reece Burke. Last season we scored a lot from set pieces, and Greaves kept almost getting his first goal. This season, not only do we never score from set pieces but I can't remember us ever coming close even. We never seem to get a clean header on it. What's the reason for that?

It's not like a couple of years ago when Bowen and Grosicki kept hitting the first man every time. We tend to put a decent looking ball in but no one ever gets near it.

Poor quality balls going in, poor quality trying to get on the end of it and better quality then last season defending it

I can’t believe that for as many years as I can remember we never have someone coming in from the back corner of the box , you get a good jump, momentum and it stops that irritating over hit corner being wasted

I was at Alton Towers on a sunny afternoon today and tbh that was a more hostile environment than the MKM. Lad in the smiler queue threatening anyone he caught looking at his missus would probably have banged our entire starting 11 out.
