no way could he turn down the chance to manage Chelsea or come to that any "top" club as you can never be sure when / if another chance comes though i agree it would have been better to get a proper grounding first .
Though he would have bankrupted Derby even earlier which is probably why you suggested it .<laugh>

Why? Going there as potentially killed his career. Learn your trade, the big chance will confe if you're good enough.

Rooney and Gerrard proof in point, maybe Vieira too

It clearly hasn't killed his career though as he then got the job that may destroy his career <laugh> and on your second point to be blunt neither prove your point as neither has been offered a top job yet .

give overi just never understand why people think he would turn the Chavs job down or come to that why they offered him the job considering how average he was at Derby . Seriously think Everton may do more damage to his reputation

The Chelsea job was clearly too soon.

I think Gerrard and Vieira look to be the better managers atm, Rooney looks good too but obviously only been in the championship

can't say Gerrard at Villa is impressing me particularly considering the amount of dosh lobbed at the team .
Very impressed by Viera and whoever oversaw their transfers in the summer .

Impressed with all three I've mentioned but agree Vieira is the standout atm

Lampard was good at Derby and decent at Chelsea before spending anything. Very hot & cold at Everton di Farr

Vieira has had it easy enough with zero expectation. Their fans have been manic depressive under Hodgson bitnlots of youth and Vieira looks a hero. He has to do more now.

Lampard is a non entity. No clue how tonset a team.up really.

Gerrard imo won't ever be a top manager as he will find someone else to blame.

    It's 9th, 12th, 17th.

What about hasellhoff ;) at Southampton or the lad at wolves?

    They've done OK too.

But in the end guess what? Right now the super league 6 are back in the top 6 slots.

No, but equally they clearly decided to clear out a lot of aged **** and go with youth but in reality this lot were flirting a little while ago and have had a bit of a little run and that's put them up there.

It's it bad, no. Is it stellar? No not imo.

The Aubameyang deal seems to worked out for all involved.

Arsenal get rid of an expensive millstone with a massive ego and can play their exciting youngsters.
Auba finally get his 'big' club move
Barca get someone who knows where the back of the net is.

Only down would be... how much is he costing Barca in wages and is it yet more 'borrowed' money against their future.

He screwed arsenal over royally by downing tools.

Arteta was dead right dropping him from a great height but they should have got some fee.

The thing is barca are now almost assured of cl next year so aubameyangs wages pay for themselves.

The crazy thing is that dembele is also reenergised somehow.

League cup final Liverpool v chelsea

Fa cup final Liverpool v chelsea

    Cl final Liverpool v chelsea

    This could actually happen.
