I was wondering if anyone could clear this up.
As I understand it a Chelsea fan group own your stadium, but Chelsea FC want to build a bigger stadium to get more fans in.
Chelsea FC know the stamford bridge site is too small to extend so are looking to move elsewhere. My question is what's the point of them buying the stadium then?

Also on the topic of stadiums, in the dying days of the FS era plans were drawn up for St. James Park, (hotels, car parks and an extention to Gallowgate etc). I've heard Llambias say these plans were still a possibility. (though this was a couple of years ago) Anyone know what happened to them?

    In short: -

Chelsea F.C own the stadium but the CPO (Chelsea Pitch Owners - basically fans) own the freehold to the land.

This was put in place to stop developers taking over the bridge years ago.

Now the club is secure they have tried to buy back the freehold to allow them to sell the whole site to developers and use that money (+ some from Roman) to build a new one somewhere else.

    All academic now.

The main reason they don't want to sell is because they think were move out of a 3 mile radius. What the club should do is try and find a somewhere within a 3 mile radius, apply for planning permission, start building and then opt to have another vote and after seeing the club really are wanting to stay within a 3mile radius then i'm sure the CPO will vote yes

    I work in Fulham.

Not many of those spaces available for a stadium now near Stamford Bridge:

    Earls Court
    Shepards Bush - BBC site

A few years back there was land available - the new builds in Imperial Wharf/Chelsea Creek

As for SJP extensions these were put on hold when the license for the super casino was awarded elsewhere in England.

Chelsea would be buying the land to sell the land. As any developer would pull the ground down surely the stadium is worth nothing but scrap. Then they would likely go full circle and pay to build a stadium on leased land, kind of like us.

Of course it's a no, me telling you "I'll swear if I want to swear" isn't exactly taking your challenge on is it? The beauty about FREE WILL is being able to swear by choice, whenever I want, the fact it offends/you don't like it is actually a bonus rather than a deterrent <ok>.

Read the question AGAIN - "what the **** is your problem?" Not "who has problems?". You've been on our board posting on three seperate threads, boring the hell out of everyone. Please go away <ok>

Ah I thought the CPO owned the pitch. RA will come back with better offer, whats this about the board being shocked at who turned out at the vote, something like they didnt expect barristers and solicitors to be fans
