Really boring and frustrating game that was. Atmosphere flatter than it has been in recent home matches. We were rubbish for large parts - never winning the second ball, misplaced passes, no strength, hold up play or creativity in midfield. Strikers for most part non existant. Walker, I'm sorry, is non-league to League 2 at best. May as well play with 10 men. Hirst did okay with the scraps he was given. Team seemed bizarrly short on confidence. We never really built up steam or any pressure. Defence did well and Baz was excellent - saving two one on one's and a good freekick. We could easily have lost that by 2 or 3. Having said that when clean through Hirst I think it was - was fouled and they should have been down to 10 men but we didn't even get a freekick! The ref had an absolute shocker all game and recieved some well earned heavy flack! Wycombe were a lot stronger physically and if they were any good they would have won. They certainly left 3 points out there. Tunnicliffe had his poorest game for us - just wouldn't go for him, same with Ogilvie. Harness is well out of form. He can turn a man okay but his final ball is just poor. We were about 3 on 1 in a rare opportunity in the first half that he should have run in and shot at goal but got closed down way too easily and we fluffed our lines completely. Ultimately this team aren't very good and until the owners actually spend some money on decent players then we'll stay average and inconsistant. Raggetinho good again. Bored of league 1. Crap league.
