The new head coach looks promising to me. He's offensive minded for a start and he's said he wants to use Jefferson like the Rams use Kupp which is good news. Jefferson is as good as Kupp, if not better if used correctly. TBH I'm not against the extension to Cousins. It's only an extra year and if things go tits up next season then they can look to trade him then.
He has a no trade clause so they can’t trade him. The new GM and HC have put their chips on Cousins and basically said “we can win a Super Bowl with this guy”. History says they definitely won’t, he hasn’t won a championship in his life. Not in high school, college or the NFL. They’ve been suckered in by his stat line which always looks good but in reality he doesn’t have that “IT” factor that you need as a QB to really succeed. He is the epitome of mediocrity, 8-9 season which means you can’t draft the top rated QB in the draft unless you want to trade up from pick 10-15 and pay a fortune. As someone on Twitter put a few weeks ago it would be career suicide for a young GM and young HC to continue with Cousins. Trade him/cut him and make it look like he was part of the old era and start a rebuild in your own image. They haven’t done that so the pressure from the fan base will be huge almost immediately. Ultimately have to wait and see what happens but winning a super bowl should be the aim and this has pushed them further away from doing that

Was hoping we’d manage to work a trade for Derek Carr after getting off Wentz but it seems like it’s a straight shootout between Jimmy Garoppolo and Marcus Mariots to be the QB1 for IND in 2022/23 now. I’d already made my peace with it being Jimmy G a few weeks ago, so I’m prepared for that one to come to fruition. Barring any late drama… That said, if this QB class wasn’t so shallow I think we might’ve seen Minnesota roll the dice a bit more. I think a few teams are preparing to plug a gap for a year and see where their roster is at and how the draft class are developing for 2023 beyond.

It's the (constant) RB theme by him and Clashstappen that there was no reason to sack Masi because he did nothing work and everything was fine and dandy in the AB GP. Even read today that Max does not care about seeing the detail of the report findings, because its not important to him - read l don't want to see anything that might imply l only got my world title through the mismanagement of Masi.
It isn't totally outlandish. People forget the first half of the year: - The (correct, IMO) decision to red flag the Emilia Romagna after Russell/Bottas collided meant that Hamilton was able to unlap himself and finish 2nd, rather than far down the order. Probably gained him +15 points or thereabouts. - The (arguably more questionable) to red flag the British Grand Prix gave Hamilton the chance to repair at a dead stop, and a +25 points margin despite everyone basically agreeing that he punted Verstappen. Those two decisions are the reason it was close. Which isn't to suggest that the stewards were biased toward Hamilton, either. Basically every team just felt that the decisions were opaque and inconsistent, and consequently basically every team felt that the decisions went against them.
