Today is the day of the big vote-- one of the biggest days in our history I imagine all Blues will be coming at this from different directions, and I think because of the the length of time everyones been supporting the club. The longer you've been around the harder you'll find it to leave! Although I dont have a say, I'm deepdown hoping the ones that do, turn down the offer as I think its the only way we'll stay put at SB. If the CPOs do vote for it, I hope they do so having been given cast iron guarantees over the 3 mile radius and preferably not in a northerly direction . Whatever, CTV will be the only channel on in my house tonight!
Big day indeed. I'm torn but for the long term future and success of the club, is the bridge still viable? I don't have a vote but I think i'd agree to sell if I did. Be interested to hear from people oppossed to a/the move as to how they see us going forward if we are to stay at S.B. Seems unlikely capacity will ever be increased significantly given all the red tape etc. Is our spiritual and 106 years home more important than more cash through the door? Certainly a hot potato!!
I've just read that there needs to be a 75% yes vote from shareholders for the club to take ownership of the ground and that they already had 50% support before the meeting started. It sounds to me, for better or for worse ,that the club will get what they are after!
If all goes through, how long before we're playing at the 'new bridge'??? (or more likely the samsung arena!!)
I'm going to ask SW6 & Ginge to get Syd to ban you from the Chelsea board Ensil. Everybody has told you your an air wasting twat. Are you really so ****ing dense you can't see what a **** your making yourself look? F-U-C-K O-F-F
Try getting off the Chelsea board and going to Three Point Lane once in a while. Then you might get crowds of more than 24000.
Ensil...you moan when people come on the Spurs board and start stirring it and here you are, doing it on two threads on our board. Get a grip.
Maybe we should try and get in on the Olympic stadium bid like that two bob club trying to get out of Arsenal's shadow in north London!! Why they'd want a 60,000 seater when they only get 24,000 nowadays god only knows!!
Their away support is on the slide too; with poor showings at Old T and St james's this season. And at City last season.
Who else would be ashamed to use an avatar of a player that openly wants to move away to one of your rivals?
I don't care much, it's you that chastises people for double standards and here you are... And you coming on here doing the same makes it better does it, somehow justifies the craving you seem to have trouble ignoring? Very big of you, nice to see you don't live by the moral code you crucify others with. Or is it that you just can't admit it's part of the game, you hate others doing it and let them know as much with your tired old lines about Fulham etc but can't help yourself?
