Well, I never lost faith. Spent the evening online during the game bating the utter whiners on the LUFC social media sites. Convinced me more than ever that a load of them only signed up to be fans either in the last 10 games in the Champ or last season in the PL. Anyhow, anyone else shout FFS Bill! when Ayling tried a cartwheel and forward roll? After Bamford and Joffy injured themselves JM should ban over enthusiastic celebrations. Thought a bit of the same when Rodders vaulted the hoardings.
A win against Saints will be enough because I cant see any of the teams below us or even around us getting anything. I think we move 10 points clear of the drop zone.
Had a look this morning and we need to win the next game. The others at the bottom have harder than us
Just need to keep the faith and enjoy the footy , Leeds wont go down , so need to get the auld pray mat out for some decent signings next season
They could make it into a movie. It was that serreal. Raph gets Covid. Bamford, Llorente, Meslier and Klich all get injured, and they find themselves two-nil down. They fight their way back into the match, before scoring a stappage time winner.
Anyone notice this in the early part of the game? Son #2 & I were in stitches. Bamford gets clobbered by Boli, gets up & Boli comes over to bump fists, or whatever they do. They end up shaking hands, & Bamford can be clearly seen saying: "Thank You". Bizarre or what?
I still haven't got over this result. At best pre-match I thought we might be lucky to snatch a draw but have to admit I lost faith at 2-0 down at HT and fully expected another 4-0 pasting to be honest. It was with a sense of dread that I logged back in to check the result past 10pm last night thinking it would be done and dusted only to see the 2-3 scoreline and play ongoing. That sense of dread was instantly replaced with one of utter disbelief followed by utter joy once the scoreline turned yellow on BBC website. We never make things easy that is for sure and there is still a long way to go but just want the team to show the fight they had in this second half.
Chelsea currently 1-0 at Boro in the FA Cup. Our match with them will have to be rearranged if they go through and that would be be better avoided if possible. Come on Boro.
