What did I just watch, that’s made my weekend…

That was a gift of three points, shocking defending and mistakes by Wolves but I’ll take it, ecstatic about those points but that was so poor before the red card.

Jesse Marsch…. He worries the **** out of me, he took the microphone and spoke to the camera for a good 10 minutes and he didn’t install an ounce of confidence in what he said, he loves the sound of his own voice and he’s tying too hard to be liked.

    Of Interest:

Phillips was never going to play no matter what happened, he isn’t ready, he’s very near, Cooper would have got a few minutes if the game had went differently.

Not enough U23s to make up the bench as they picked up some knocks, Phillips was there for his moral support.

Meslier - Bruised hip expect he’ll be fine after the break

Klich - Cut head concussion rule he’ll be fine

Llorente - After asking the commentary team who the 4th injury was as he couldn’t remember and them reminding him, he said yes he’ll be fine, a bruise to the back.

Bamford - He thinks he’ll be back after the break, he just has a sore foot, he said it was sore after the Norwich 45 minutes but they thought he’d be okay. I’m quite shocked by this one myself.

One bit that did make sense, he said you can’t go toe to toe against the top teams in the division, they’re just too good player for player so it’s about having a brand of football the players can perform to and making minor tactical changes against certain teams

Because he never plays anyway... I see his reasoning

Our passing drives me insane. The amount of times they play each other into trouble or just kick it without even looking up is insane.
On the other side we telegraph so many passes that a blind man could read them.
I have no idea how Wolves lost that because they did, they gave it away. They tore us apart with their 1 - 2s and should have created and scored much more.
The Jiminez sending off changed it and we'd be pissed if it went against us but if he'd got there first Meslier would have been booked.
The fact that Meslier had to go off confirms it was reckless.
That is what we need to be like in every game because we're in the trenches.

I’ll have a great weekend mate after that win but if anyone truly believes this team and Jesse Marsch is the way forward they’re mistaken. We didn’t win that, it was a gift gratefully accepted.

Ayling was very happy yet very humble in his interview afterwards, he knew it was a gift and he couldn’t wait to get away to celebrate with his team mates. Jesse on the other hand didn’t want to give the microphone up, something just isn’t right about him.

The coach is American and talking lots is standard.

In boxing parlance struijk is shot - he’s absolutely gone. Needs ‘resting’ for his and the team’s sake. He’s a good player and he’ll come again but his confidence has gone, he was a total liability tonight with and without the ball … again

Think you read that all wrong. He was ecstatic about the win, he was trying to emphasise that we did it despite the injuries and he was making light of the fact that we had so many he could barely remember who they were. Personally, he comes across positively to me.

better to be lucky than good.

seriously it’s 2 weeks, 4 games. He’s barely been on the training ground with them.

Personally I won’t judge him on how chatty he is nor on performances… yet.

he hasn’t made us into a boring watch though that’s for sure <laugh>

He’s not been the same since the sending off, maybe a coincidence but I agree, Cresswell seems more than capable of standing in.

He’s all very positive talk I agree with that but I still get the feeling he is out of his depth. He genuinely forgot who the 4th injury was

Earlier this evening I was facing a dismal weekend dedicated to alcohol consumption after another loss.
Now I have the prospect of a brilliant weekend also dedicated to alcohol after a magnificent 3 points.
    Cheers all.

Greenwood was strong and did very well for the second goal, without that the ball wouldn't have run for Rodrigo. <applause>
