No idea how that’s a second yellow for Jimenez. Both players just ran to a 50/50 and collided. Didn’t even make an actual tackle. If anything, Leeds keeper was reckless and out of control even though he won the ball. Seen players sent off for less even when winning the ball.
Classic case of guy who didn't get ball. He did not need to go in there but did strongly so he didn't care if he did the keeper. Obvious yellow. Can't go in like that any more
3-2 Leeds. Red card just killed wolves but shocking defensively for all 3 goals. Even down to 10 men shouldn’t be making basic errors like that for the goals.
Well clearly you can't just go in and think oh I'll get the ball and it doesn't matter what happens then. Even in rugby now we have seen England lose a player for a stand up tackle after 3mins and then grt a 3 match ban thereafter for a simple enough no male wrap tackle where head met head. You have to mind the other player now and that's just the way it is
Heads went. Should have won 2-0 having defended well with 19 but nope, Got what they deserved for framing out.
give over not for one second even in slow motion did that look like a yellow - and football isn't the same as Rugby which imo is now a pretty **** game to watch .
And have you ever been given a yellow for having your stud up and some clown kicks your boot and howls? Refs look for that all the time.
no since cards didn't exist last time i played football and what that has to do with the Jimenez Meslier contact is beyond me .
Benfica will be the home side for the first leg, which will take place in Lisbon on Tuesday, April 5, before the second-leg decider at Anfield on Wednesday, April 13. Man City‘s two quarter-final legs against Atletico Madrid have also been set for the same nights, and therefore the Premier League fixture stays the same. Liverpool’s trip to the Etihad would have been moved had either side been scheduled to play their second leg on the Tuesday night, but it will now be held on Sunday, April 10 as originally planned.
Typical. Looked like it was a decent game to watch last night - I must have nodded off after 30 minutes
That's something I hate to see - Arsenal players surrounding the ref demanding a red card for Mings. It wasn't even a yellow imo, but that's not the point. If I was a ref I'd book every one of them apart from the captain. Xhaka being a dingbat as well, as usual.
Who the **** cares when the play offs are with respect to anything really? Make weight teams next season who don't need to align with the cl!!!
