Fp2. Ferrari straight to top of times first out. Absolutely stable, flowing, super on kerbs as well. Looks so untroubled
Red Bull at least look on the same lap at Ferrari, everyone else looks like they’ll be lapped after half the race.
Merc did quite a few changes to setup between sessions. I wonder if they where clutching at straws by lowering front to try and reduce airflow to cut downforce and therefore limit bouncing? What ever they did didn't see to work? Maybe new floor is on its way?
Ferrari is 100% sparking from the side of floor but not porpoise. Sainz just went though and the left side was sparking so it mist have skid block ?? It's not the plank I think but the car is sailing round.
Bottas Perez Sainz Mick s. K mag All 1 to 1.1s behind verstappen, le clerc less than a 10th Hamilton 1.2seconds down. Russel 0.6seconds down. It's all about set up. Hamilton doesn't have it.
Hamiltons car looks so bad. If the find the sweet spot imo that car will be right there but they are not there yet.
Once Mercedes get this porpoising sorted out compared to Red Bull and Ferrari then their car could be on par with the those rivals but it’s like driving a bouncy castle at the moment.
That's that. Learned anything? Still wondering who's engines are set to race mode yet. Hamilton won't score points imo unless they get this fixed as the car will shake to bits.
Horner “ we felt we got the rough end of the stick in the races last year “ ( when asked about Masi etc ) , Damon. “ are you serious ‘
Front two teams look fairly clear - RBR and Ferrari. That said, Fred (Alonso) did a very decent time on the mediums. Would bloody love him to be in the mix. McLaren should step forward tomorrow but the gap does look too big for them to step forward enough to fight. Love to be wrong but it’s a big gap
Perez agrees with Verstappen: 'They've gone too far' 17-03-2022 16:16 | Updated: 17-03-2022 17:35 by GPblog.com F1 NEWS please log in to view this image Sergio Perez will begin a new season in Formula One this coming weekend. Last week, Netflix released a new season of the series Drive to Survive , which features the entire 2021 racing year. The Mexican is not at all pleased with the end result, he told ESPN. Last year was mainly about the fight between Max Verstappenand Lewis Hamilton. The two drivers did not give each other a moment's space in the world championship, which meant that prior to the last Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the drivers were on equal ground. In the end, it was Verstappen who drew the longer straw. Perez was curious to see how Netflix would present the season, but is far from satisfied with it. "The season had enough drama," Perez judged. "They've probably gone too far in this last season. I thought it was going to be the best season, but to be totally honest I haven't finished [watching] it."
