As long as Wilson can trot into the 18 yard box in time to when Fraser trots to the by-line to whip crosses in it will be an improvement on Wood. I would have said wingers but we all know ASM will just dribble and shoot 9 times out of 10.
It just wasn't the game for max.. The game was a close fought battle and almiron coming off tipped the balance. I don't care what anyone says almiron was involved in all our best fwd play and defensive play last night. Nice ones twos in the 1st half and he got in behind.. He also won tackles. In 30 minutes max didn't win a ball and didn't even beat a man.. He was absolutely useless.
This is true, felt it was a bit of a poor one from Howe who was going to do his subs plan whatever happened. I hate that approach from managers - “oooh, it’s the 60th minute, time to swap player a for player b”. Almiron was containing and breaking. Willock and Fraser were struggling. Wood was in a really bad place. Those were the things to change. I just didn’t feel like Howe had his usual control of that match - partly down to **** housery from Everton, partly down to our own fatigue. Anyway take it and move on.
What a disappointment. Everton were awful and we weren't much better, particularly in the second half. We were on top in the first, a goal then would have knocked the stuffing out of Everton. Regarding their player who got sent off, I really hope he gets a lengthy ban for his aggression towards the officials. There's one thing being annoyed at a dubious decision but his reaction crossed the line.
Seemed to me that Newcastle went long and direct from minute one, so it was clearly a tactic that just didn't work and was never changed. Tottenham will defeat this side then wolves and nufc might not get another point. This is still a poor side. Norwich Burnley and Palace will decide the clubs fate
Nah they're a bit up and down but they'll put this 11 to the sword at home with relative ease. Kanes is on fire atm. I think we'll get to 34 - 36 points and it might be enough
Wood the last two games has played like he's never seen a football before, been absolutely awful. Doesn't help that we literally have no one else to play upfront like, he needs a rest more than anyone.
He doesn't look good that's for sure but I don't think he'll start many next season unless Howe goes 2 up top
I'll be pretty disappointed if he isn't 4th choice, we need a new main striker with Wilson and a new young striker as back up.
We should be targeting the Leicester game, they seem to giving the euro conference a right go and they’ll likely have a game that week, they’ll also more than likely be already on holidays when it comes to the PL, nothing left to play for really.

We might have enough already but that point thrown away last night was foolish. We have very little up top... It's a shame we didn't get that French kid. He would've given us another option.
We've definitely tightened up at the back, but up top we have literally nothing. I think wood does a job, but seriously the attacking flair in our team is non existent. We have nothing.... Max offers some but nobody knows wtf he's doing so it never comes to anything.
