Two tough games, yet only lost each one 1-0 from a) a mistake, and b) diabolical performance from Wood. The ref decisions have evened out. Big break, Shelvey, Wilson coming back, rest for Burn, Joe, Joe, Fraser, ASM. Still should have enough to easily reach safety.
I thought some of our players looked a bit Leggy today. Just wasn't our night and I think Everton were set up to play ****house football... It was stop start and head tennis throughout
Watford and Burnley have Liverpool and City next, we will probably lose to Spurs. We just need to win a home game and get a couple of draws.
All tough games even Norwich away under what the circumstances will be won't be easy. I do think we'll stay up, but I think it might get a little uncomfortable again
Let's not forget the squad we have and what we are dealing with. If at Christmas you'd have said by end of March we'd be where we are now, I'd have taken that 100%. Yes the last 2 games have been frustrating, but overall we've made big strides. I think we'll stay up, but it wont be comfortable viewing. I think it shows just how much the club will need to spend to avoid being in a dogfight again next season. Forget about marquee signings, we need at least 6 solid first team players ahead of who we have now.
I'd also still rather be in our situation than Evertons tonight. Imo both clubs will stay up.. Im Everton have struggled but they have a decent squad of players.
Indeed, it certainly ly wouldn't endear any neutral to want either side to stay up. Its the kind of game you watch and as a neutral and hope both teams go down.
Wilsons been out so long it'll take him months to get going.. If forget the idea of him saving us. This is the side that's got to keep us up pretty much. He's just another one that needs replacing he's never fit.
I think its very unlikely we'll go down. Imo it's 100% safe with another win. Might need a home game for that.
