It's a nonsense rule and anti competive by its very nature. It was never about keeping clubs safe - but protecting the big one's - and I find it baffling that people still spout that tripe.

 

Of all posters ffs you would expect a mod to respect the rules of the board .

 

Which goes back to my point. FFP just encourages people to cheat or find loopholes. It might make it a little harder to buy a title, but not by much.

 

you are just thinking of FFP for PL teams i'm using FFP to cover the various systems to try and stop owners ruining the clubs they run and every time some club spends what seems like unending money it causes a ripple effect of pushing up wages down the leagues .

 

It also pushes a lot of money down the league too with some of the ridiculous transfers... But granted FFP probably makes more sense in the lower leagues where money is tighter and there a fewer tyrant's buying teams and spending limitless cash.

With all due respect, bollocks to that. A club is it’s the fans, the local community, it’s history, all that stuff. Long after the Saudis go from being out trusted friends and allies, to the bunch of corrupt murdering bastards they clearly are, your two bob club will still exist, and at least some of your supporters will continue to give a ****.
