    The usual lack of logic as expected from crazed Lefties.

    The government does not bring criminal cases to the courts. They are brought in the name of the Crown and, just like all other court cases, are subject to the production of evidence by the accuser and the defendant, which is scrutinised by a jury of their peers.

    Whether some people like it or not, our legal system is predicated on the assumption that the defendant is assumed to be innocent until proven guilty.

    More crazed Leftie logic. What has misogyny got to do with rape? The courts have enough cases to be working on without inviting the nation’s feminists to bring spurious cases against any man to whom they take a dislike. Of course, if crazed Lefties had their way the plaintiff might not be a woman by the generally accepted biological definition.

    So a quick change of subject required. First it was rape convictions – actual cases that have come to court. Now it is ‘unsolved’ crimes, which presumably are rape cases that have not been brought to court. Rape cases that do not make it to court are usually the result of the Crown Prosecution Service deeming that there is insufficient evidence for them to have a realistic chance of obtaining a conviction.

    <doh> Outdated laws... do explain to those of us who are not a woman how the criminal act of rape has changed since the laws were originally enacted. Has it changed in some way since the Sexual Offences Act 2003?
