Can't watch anymore as we're experts at pissing around at the back with it and **** all else.

Doesn't make any sense because when we do play it forward we look far better.

Stuck with until HT and we're fortunate to be only losing 1-0.

This is a very good example of how modern coaches think they're Pep at Man City and try to mimic his style of football. On a tricky pitch though with loads of bobbles it's virtually impossible. Lost count of how many times we've lost possession trying to play out of our own half and so Mansfield have had multiple chances without having to do much to win the ball back.

Change of tactics needed for the 2nd half.

    Not watching either but…..

McKinstry's corner is flicked goalwards by Moore and it's tapped in inside the six-yard area by Joe Littlewood. Centre-backs combine.

Finished 1-1 and apparently that was enough for us to progress to the next round of the PL Cup.

At least these youngsters are getting plenty of game time <ok>

Due to illness I have neglected the kids recently, but todays game was played yet again by mainly U18s and deserved to draw if not win. The draw means they go through to the knockout stages which is a result. Well done, wonder if the MILF CEO of Mansfield was watching <laugh>

Next season under Jesse Marsch will see some major changes as a more traditional U23s comes to the fore. The first team squad will grow and some of the existing 23s will be part of it but not as many as you may think. Some of them will be going out on loan or even sold. The 23s will be more like the group that drew yesterday against Mansfield, with hopefully some top additions. Lets hope Matteo Joseph Fernandez becomes the new Joffy.

But this season has been a disaster in some respects as the 23s has been weakened by having its best players not playing because needed for the first team bench. A waste in many respects as it left the 23s struggling to stay up
Minutes played by U23s under Marcelo Bielsa - 2021/22 Premier League
    385 - Joe Gelhardt

    148 - Leo Hjelde

    126 - Cody Drameh

    119 - Crysencio Summerville

    94 - Charlie Cresswell

    43 - Lewis Bate

    12 - Sam Greenwood

    9 - Liam McCarron

    3 - Stuart McKinstry

I think Greenwood, McCarron and McKinstry will be sold but the others will be part of the new first team group. The anomaly will be Nohan Kenneh, will he join the first team, stay with the 23s and probably replace Cresswell as skipper or will he be released/loaned. He has sat on the first team bench but no minutes yet

Nice strong u23 team tonight I’ve seen one report giving Kenneh 9/10 mom and a different one give it to Summerville either way both were apparently outstanding.

Stamford Bridge 1pm Chelsea V Leeds Utd in a 6 pointer.Chelsea have 2 games in hand on Leeds but if we can win this we would go up to 9th. Teams crom 10th down are looking over their shoulders

We have players missing again for internationals unless they join tomoz, and we really could do with fielding our best team for a change lets see Summerville, Gelhardt etc take to the field for a change

It would be stupid to play Gelhardt. He is carrying a back injury and they put Greenwood on instead of him because of that injury. If he can't play 45 minutes for the first team I don't think he should play for the reserves.

Leeds already 1-0 down using a second string team again. Stats say we are second best so far

Half hour gone stats now at 50/50 but we are still a goal down. No Gelhardt, Greenwood Summerville or Cresswell. Nohan Kenneh in charge at the back with mainly U18 defence except for McCarron at LB. Max Dean up top with Mateo Fernandez waiting on the bench. McGurk also on the bench with Charlie Allen. Bate playing against his old mates
