The rugby was a barrel of **** at the weekend. 3 mins in and sending off for a clash of heads. That's two Ireland benefit from in 2 games. The tackler has to put his head low to tackle but if a guy runs in with the ball he can shoulder in etc. It's getting ridiculous now as first off the tackle was poor but its not shoulder to head its head to head and accident. But then the ref started reffing the scrum on the basis that irleand were not right and he made his mind up and never looked as we basically were in not square time after time. England then got all carried away with being the brave but physically superior side and kept kicking the ball away. Time after time it was up in the air and almost one were won. Ireland were absolutely awful. They lost their heads after 25mins and threw the ball away times after time in poor off loads and I'd say most of the pens England got off scrum.were down to the gobshites poorly offloading. We got to 15-15 and then kicked poorly. For the first time lreand stopped chucking it on the floor and just rucked and we caught it up as 14v 15 means there must be space somewhere.
If you wanted a "brave performance" it's great but if England had have held the ball in hand at any point they would have creamed Ireland. There was just two or three times it was chucked wide and Ireland were massively exposed every time. Imo they lost their heads and were playing right in tongue hands but we kept kicking ball away. Thier line out disintegrated, their discipline was shot through and they were not executing the basics. Sexton offside from a kick up field. They got offside in trying to make a maul as itoje had broken their minds previously. Their scrum was destroyed. But every time we had it we kicked did up in the sky and their full back and wing took nearly everything. All our points were penalties gifted to us.
