The picture of Gove having a theatrical strop in parliament, shouting how sick he is of the accusations that the UK are not generous, the UK is generous it's this ****ing government where the problem lies , another minister gaslighting

I can't stand Farage but this is a very rare occasion I agree with him. I'd be saying this if it was another club and not Chelsea.

The club should be utterly erased and prevented from forming any sort of phoenix club, too.
Abramovich tried to buy a legacy with his blood money. It should be taken away from him completely.

I've no qualms with the sanctions or the assets being taken so long as there is transparency over how it's done. The EU for example sanctioned Abramovich and clearly outlined the reasons.

At the risk of the worst RCL in human history, has anyone else noticed Putin's iron grip slipping in recent days?

First he sacked the head of the FSB and his deputy for utterly spurious reasons, effectively trying to say it was their fault that Ukrainians didn't roll over the second the Russians were on the horizon as if there aren't several decades of evidence that said they wouldn't

Now the journalist who staged her on-air protest on state TV is only given a fine of the equivalent of £200 instead of an on the spot prison sentence from the judiciary

On top of everything else, yesterday the BBC coverage from Lviv made a big thing about not using spotlights for fear of air attack - but tonight the spotlights were back on

The Kremlin also posted pictures of him looking a bit ropey and bloated, which is very unusual.
It might just be age and not the illness that a lot of the press are hinting at.
It's odd that they're not portraying him in their normal propagandist fashion, though.

All of his other recent incursions into other countries have been met with not much more than a shrug of the shoulders by the west , Ukraine is different he did what he wanted with Chechnya, Syria and the Crimea but this is another level , the NATO countries are arming the Ukrainians with tech weapons that the other countries never had and they are hitting him where it will hurt most ,his pockets , the Oligarchs will not put up with this much longer and nor will the Russian people with a large number not brought up under the hard times , how easy is it to get an ice pick in Moscow

It does have to be said that Putin was looking pudgy back in January, so that's likely age catching up with him...or a rather large Christmas lunch which takes longer to work off than he thought

It's the Tories, so it's the usual half-arsed job, but haven't they done that?
Are you talking about the sanctions and assets in general or Chelsea specifically?

"But you know whose fault it is that the Tory part is sinking under the weight of all this Russian cash? JEREMY CORBYN'S!!!" - Dominic Raab, 2022

The fact he also walked right into a Mrs Merton skit doesn't look brilliant, either...
