The ref or Lino did not give offside because they thought the ball was flicked on by a Luton Player, that is the only explanation.
Yup. The official rules say that the player taking a corner cannot be ruled offside (unless the ball is then returned to him when he’s still in an offside position). The recipient of the ball from a corner cannot be ruled offside. But, as Col says, because there was a touch by Dickie, Amos was then in an offside position. I suppose the referee could’ve missed the foul by Amos on the Luton sticksman and took the view that the ball was on its way into the net anyway. Alternatively, there could be a reason why he’s refereeing in the Championship and not the giddy heights of the Premier League.
Lol. It amused me writing it. Watching the replay of Dickie’s goal again and Amos’ challenge on him - I think he must be made of balsa wood. Chocks away, Ginger.
I doubt the Officials saw it there were a lot of bodies there. Luton players, Management, and support didn't or they would have been complaining. And it was a corner a f****** good one.
Clives report... https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...e-bounces-rangers-back-off-the-canvas--report You'll love this @rangercol Jones’ hysterical over-reaction at full time was a work of ****ing art. His assertion that although Adebayo’s first half goal was offside the linesman can’t possibly see it’s offside and therefore shouldn’t have flagged it offside even though it is offside, went through the looking glass so far even Alice couldn’t be arsed to follow him. The barbed comment about our wild celebrations, from a man who once beat his chest so hard I thought he was going to fracture his own ribs after grinding out a 0-0 for Stoke City against one of the worst QPR teams in living memory, and was more recently seen scaling the away end of the Liberty Stadium after a 1-0 victory against sixteenth-placed Swansea like some tiny hairless diecast Hornby model of King Kong, a work of pure ironic genius. Get this man his own show.
Hendrick got an "assist" ' played Moses throw into the area to Gray whose run and turn won us the pen. He also set up Moses for a very dangerous cross. He made one poor pass that I saw which lead to their goal ruled offside.
I thought Hendrick was awful. We should never pick him and Johansen together again. Field must do his nut having to cover everything.
Even Hendrick thought so, he stated as much on his Twitter account. I was just going easy as I didn't want to offend Oslo, who seems to be on a personal crusade to defend Hendrick. (As opposed to what seems a large proportion of Hoops fans that would like to see him dropped from the starting 11). All about opinions though, isn't it!?
Yes positive crusades work wonders. Look at Wallace 2nd half last season ( he played really well) and Moses the last few games. Negative crusades lose us decent players, Scowen, Lumley.....
He was good for us as a young Keeper until he made a couple of mistakes and people got on his back, violently so on Twitter. No wonder he lost confidence. He seems to be keeping his place at Boro even though he's made the occasional screw up, with some good saves too. Many players aren't likely to do well if they get a lot of nasty aggro, especially when its undeserved. Players who were doing ok, get worse from it.
See, now I don’t know whether your relentless positivity is genuine or some kind of twisted civic duty. I don’t think reasoned criticism and opinion on a site like this is a problem. Abuse on more widespread social media and consistent booing etc in the ground is different, could well affect confidence. But Lumley was always average at best.
I know I'm going to regret this, but Lumley was ok for us during the first couple of seasons after replacing Smithies, however he was never the same keeper after he got that kick in the face at Villa, it seemed to sap his confidence and he was never as commanding as previously........
