Now you really are clutching at straws. I do believe we had crouch on loan and had a choice between buying him or huckerby. And we chose the latter.

As one of the biggest club hoppers in the game, is there anyone he hasent played for.

And im sorry, but you are still to prove to me why there is any affiliation between the two clubs? Supernorwich seems to speak for you all so maybe he can explain, as he went to a pub in soton once.

Im sorry if im coming across like abit of an asshole on this thread, its just local rivalry can go very deep, and the local rivalry in this part of the country is huge, and not always just about the football. I thought some of u canaries would understand that. Im just getting annoyed that my beloved norwich would have any sort of affiliation with the scummers down the road! But i only speak for myself. Im a nice guy really, REALLY!!

What is so wrong about having some respect or even admiration for another football club? It is not all about hatred, anger etc.....

So you don't like the Saints, not our problem it is yours - so please keep your anger towards Southampton to yourself or go to the Pompey board where they would love to join in <ok>

I dont believe i have used any mulitious or angry words!! Unless saying soton is only famous for its ikea is going to start some major diplomatic incident. But i should be entitled to disagree and to my own opinion!! So, its hardly fair to tell me to jog onto another board!!

I will though thai say nothing more on the subject.

    Good day

Other than - I live in pompey!! They will always be scummers to me I agree you have said nothing untoward, however that in itself it's totally disrespectful to Southampton fans who have been invited by Norwich on a cross board thread. Our aim is to discourage any potential 'flare ups' that may arise from such comments.

By all means contribute but also please respect other fans/teams, more so when we have invited them on to such threads <ok>

JentheSaint and I are great mates. Helping to set her up with another Southampton general chatter.

Southampton are Norwichs best mates in football along with Sunderland and Kings Lynn

Can I just say, what puzzles me is that we have lots of people living in and around Norwich that originally came from another part of the UK, and still regard themselves as fans of their home town, quite rightly, imo! Now, here's the rub, because they're living in 'our area' it doesn't mean that they hate the 'binners' and why should they?

I just can't get my head round your obvious hatred of a team simply because of where you live!

As a norwich fan from norwich I couldn't give two hoots about the southampton portsmouth rivalry same as those fans won't care about the norwich ipswich rivalry. So my admiration shouldn't matter. He was good for us while on loan in a great season so I like him. Hardly clutching at straws.

Well, i was born in Norwich and lived there for much of my childhood. But, im sorry im going to have to disagree again!! If those people who have moved to norwich and live their for sometime, you do get a love for the place you live. And the footie team in which your surrounded and their fans. So yes i do believe some of thise fans would stick up for norwich when it comes to the binners. Every time soton bring there fans to my city, and tear the place up. So much so that they have got to get special coaches to the ground in december, and without a bus token they wont be getting anywhere near fratton park. It is very diifficult to have the place that you live slagged off and smashed up, and remain impartial, weather im a canary at heart or not!

I think Mr Goss has given himself away by calling us scummers. There is no reason why a Norwich fan should have any animosity towards Southampton, club or city. But a Pompey fan? That's a whole other story!

Anyway, as a Saints fan living in Somerset, just a couple of miles from Paulton Rovers who the Canaries trounced in the FA Cup a couple of years ago, can I confirm that Norwich fans are among the nicest, well-behaved people in football. And Delia even enjoyed the pasties, or maybe she was just being polite.

but to be fair that happens with a lot of football rivalries, and it is only the minority that are idiotic enough to smash up the town.

    This.

The gentleman (Mr Goss) is of course entitled to his opinion - he has stated it clearly enough. I think he might care to leave it at that.
