Yes we should definitely have scored more goals but we made one of the slowest strikers in the League (Pukki) look like Usain Bolt at times. We're in massive trouble, but the difference Bamford made gives me hope that with Kalvin & Coops we might just get out of it.
I guess the only question is; would he have to experience to get into the same positions as Bamford? And was Paddy rusty after a very long layoff?
Wasn't fishing honest , although did it save us today? Would be interesting to do a poll of all the prem teams to see who is still in favour of VAR.
A few hours after finally getting three points I can honestly say it feels ****ing greeeeaaaaaaaatttttttttt and the players at least showed great togetherness with the Rodrigo celebration and obvious relief at the late winner, now we must look forward and prepare for a very tough wolves encounter...... if that doesn't get the players adrenaline pumping for the upcoming battles I give up
Everyone in the stadium could tell the difference Bamford makes to the side. It's not just his presence but also his movement and ability to lead the line in a way no on else (in our squad) can. All that and nowhere near match fit. Joffy has different attributes and is an undoubted talent, everybody loves him and yes he should probably have had more minutes whilst Bamford was injured. It's unfortunate that he had his own fitness issues during that period but when you see him in the flesh it's clear he's not yet at the stage where he should be starting. However the comparison with Roberts is valid and there's no doubt about the impact Joffy is making at first team level.
Pure class from Raphinha, Utter bollox from the jock twat commentator, a coming together?, now I know what some were complaining about earlier.
Great to get the 3 points today and so onward to the next important fixture in Sink or Swim. Thursday night I will be hoping for a Barcodes win against Fat Fwank
I see a few negative posts coming through. In Marsch three games thus far, two performances have been worthy of victories. Granted the other was a horror show. It's been blatantly obvious for a few years that we don't convert chances in to goals and it seem that this trend will continue, certainly until the summer. We will continue to leak goals but we created plenty against Leicester and Norwich to give me hope. The zonal marking at set pieces seems to have improved us a bit (still not perfect). The big positive I saw today was the fight in the players. They really gave everything today. That's all we can ask. If they play with that effort for the remaining games then we have a good chance of survival.
We were very good in the first half. Replacing Bamford with Harrison was crazy. He was absolutely our worst player. You've got a striker on the bench (Joffy) but you put James up front and bring Harrison on, round pegs in square holes yet again. Rodrigo played out of his skin, pity he had to go off.
Well bielsa started with a full pre-season and drilled stuff into the players for the next 3 1/2 years. You’re taking every opportunity to take little digs at marsch who hasn’t been here 2 weeks. Team plays badly it’s the coach. Team plays well it’s the players. Under bielsa we were (maybe still are) on course for the worst defensive record in the premier league ever… and you’re expressing concern that teams will pick us off under the new coach. The old boyfriend has left jamster… I know the wounds are still raw but that’s not the new boyfriend’s fault. Show him some love. Remember the manager might read this site and you might affect his confidence. If we get relegated it will be your fault … or something
