I think you hit the nail firmly on the head Col. Throughout the game i was saying to my lad, we dont have the legs in midfield. That box to box runner that you just hate tracking. Amos is the only midfielder we have capable of doing that. Field does exactly what hes in the team to do and more when hes covering for Hendrick or Johanson. With every game i watch, i become even more bemused with the signing of Hendrick.
Yep agree, i think it was the perfect match to start Chair and Willock. I was very suprised that he didnt.
Me and my lad were saying exactly the same. To be honest, I wouldn't mind who plays out of Hendrick and Johansen, but we can't start them both imo. I'm not Amos's biggest fan, but we need more energy in the midfield to help out the brilliant Field. If Warburton wants to continue with this 3-5-2 then he needs to drop Chair and play Willock off a forward imo. I'd also play McCallum for more pace and replace Dickie with Sanderson.
I did not watch the match and could not even get an internet signal as I was walking down a beautiful Baltic coastline on a glorious, but chilly day. It seems that we may have got a “smash & grab” away win. If so, wonderful news as this takes character. Three away points from a very tricky fixture and back to 4th in the table. Great news from the R’s!
Play McCallum at left back v Forest, Spense running at Wallace has me full of dread. Wallace looks knackered and can't run
When it came off Dickie's back Amos was impeding the keeper in an offside position. However, anything that winds up that tosser Jones is fine by me.
