I have gloated and felt sorry for Leeds over the last 20 seasons you certainly deserve a bit of good fortune , even If it's at Norwich's expense today . I'm hoping Everton and Watford are dragged down with us
The offside laws are a disgrace. I dunno if you saw the West Ham goal against us in the cup but the offside player kicked our keeper in the face but because he didn't touch the ball he was deemed to be not interfering with play. I'm with you bit unfortunately that's not how it's refereed. As I said above, the Rashica tackle looked a possible red to me. The Williams one wasn't great but it should have been a yellow at the very least. Red would have been very harsh. I'm conceding that we got the majority of decisions but to be honest we should have had at least 5 goals today. I'm not on the wind up but you lot are the worst side we faced this year. You even made us look decent and we are terrible.
For me it’s the inconsistency of decisions. We had a perfectly good goal disallowed against Leicester because Cantwell was deemed to be standing in front of the keeper and so interfering with play (even though the keeper was obviously nearly a foot taller and had a clear line of sight), nowhere near as close or bad as the one you are describing - yet ours gets ruled out and West Ham stands? Criminal, totally mad and frankly a bit suspicious imo. And to put it in more context - we’ve given away two penalties, one by Aarons and another by Gibson earlier this season, in exactly the way Aarons blocked off ?James today. Now I don’t think any of those three were penalties, but you have to ask why it’s so obviously inconsistent?
Yep. Agree fully. It's more than suspicious as far as I'm concerned after the things I've seen this season. They changed two rules last season after giving a penalty against us and an offside against us. You'll just have to trust me that we've had some bad decisions go against us all season. It doesn't level out. I can genuinely say that today was the first time things have gone in our favour. Your bungs must be even lighter than ours.
Don’t worry, I’ve seen enough of the refereeing this season to know I don’t need to trust you on that… Good luck trying to stay up
To be fair you should have been at the bottom of your cage and looking up to your perch if we'd have put those first half chances away it could and should have been 3 or 4.......but fair play you stuck in there and nearly got a draw which you so richly undeserved...tweet, tweet
Aftenoon all. I've just emerged from behind the sofa. I can't take this. It's a curse being a Leeds fan.
****ing hell we needed those 3 point phew. A little bit improvment from last game. But they still don`t know how to play Marsch football. The players look very fragile, don`t take much to get their heads down. Marsch still have a hell of lot of work to do. I`m very happy and relieved now
Well it gives us a chance. We’ve “taken” one of the games in hand out of Everton and Burnley so upped the pressure on them. Could have done with Watford dropping points but at least they’ve played the same number of matches as us. More importantly a first win for JM and the players. Also liked the formation at the start, most balanced looking side we’ve put out for ages. Probably I’m biased because I really like 4-2-3-1. It’s flexible and can morph into 4-5-1 under pressure and 4-3-3 when on top. As I said I haven’t seen it yet so don’t know how the formation changed when Harrison came on for Bamford.
Just read the post match presser. Seems Marsch held open and honest team meetings this week and more significantly said he had an honest and frank discussion one to one with Rodrigo and what he can do to help the club, himself and his teammates. I'm super impressed Rodrigo turned in that performance today and ran to the bench to celebrate with everyone. That's a really mature thing to do and shows great leadership from him. The thing I've noticed is that Raphinha looks up to Rodrigo and kind of does what he does. The fact Rodrigo charged around kicking people first 10 minutes seemed to have reignited Rapha somewhat. The other news in the presser is that Rodrigo came off with a tight quad and is doubtful for Friday and Bamford also had a niggle but should be OK for Friday.
Problebly not. Gelhardt have not been very good in the other games he has played. He has a lot to learn.
He's definitely an impact sub not a starter atm, 60 for Paddy on Friday, then give him the last 30, he terrorised Wolves at ER, they won't be happy to see him come on again.
Stop with the calls for Gelhardt to start. He is great off the bench with 10 minutes to go. He has no pressure. Just go on and do your thing. When he has started games he looks a little bit lost.
