I've only got one so far. Got it as an oddity but love the colour of the leaves and how it looks in winter so did a little research and want to get more. Also supposedly get better harvest with multiple for cross pollination... So I'm hoping to get three more.

Government trying to deal with Ukrainian refugees on the cheap.If you take them into your house for 6 months they'll pay you £350 per month to keep them housed, fed and clothed.It would cost a hell of a lot more for the government to house and feed them properly.Thats not even getting into safety issue for the hosts and the Ukrainians.Sounds like a peado's paradise scenario.Also amongst the refugees could be rapists murderers thieves.This sounds like it was thought up in the pub.

£350 is peanuts, especially with the way the cost of living its going up atm

 

Be a hell of a lot of people probably taking advantage. Taking in 3 or 4 of them but shoving them in cramped houses in one bedroom etc

 

Also why are the gov not offering £350 a month to take in a homeless British person? Or someone fleeing from other countries?

Not saying we shouldn’t be helping Ukrainians but plenty of people already here need that kind of help and a place to stay. I’d be pretty pissed if I was homeless and yet someone comes over from ukraine and is offered a house to stay in
