True, but there's always someone behind you and most teams have good periods then bad.

Plymouth were top and flying, so were we, Wycombe looked unstoppable ...

... Sheff Wed lost 3-1 to Lincoln, in their previous game, with one attempt on goal.

All we need to do is keep winning and we'll get there imo.

That's the one detractor for me also....However, the last four results are decent but ugly. 10 points out of 12 is good. Had we played pretty and only achieved 7/12 we would have been goosed

AN wants us to get the ball forward quicker cos we concede most of our goals from cheaply losing the ball in midfield and he wants clean sheets. It’s not making for a nice spectacle but we stay in the game by not conceding then he goes for it. I’d rather that than lose but it’s turgid.

It is not in our hands mate, and that is hard to fathom. What I will say is we have been rubbish last 2 games but got 6 points. We could have easily been 3 or 4 points worse off and it would then look very bleak. As it is we need favours elsewhere, and to keep winning but we are in it. I was reminded today of what we have in players like Dan Neil. I honestly dont think any L1 team have a player like him, or close to it. We have the best CF in the league too I think. O'nien is back in fold and we might even see McGeady back in the weeks to come. Clarke and Roberts have loads to offer and bring a goal from nothing threat and Dajaku, Embleton and Gooch are all a threat in different ways. If we can improve our style of play, and I am confident we will, then we can get lots of types of goals and that will make us dangerous to anyone.

I haven't really looked but I think we have Oxford and Plymouth to play and they have to play each other.

No idea how that affects things but I'll have a look when I've calmed down <laugh>

We need Wycombe , Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday to lose games ASAP. Of course we have to win.

Today they were Rubbish, we were Rubbish but we scored two good goals at the end.

Not sure if we had a MoM... fans probably for turning up and watching that dross.

Has to be Matete despite the three errors he made ...

... the only player who kept going and always wanted the ball.

I would agree with Matete, he was the only one who comes out with any credit today. (I'm not including the keeper in that as he had nowt to do)

6 points in 2 games against very poor opposition, struggled in both games.
Massive game next week, heart says we will make play offs my head says no chance.
Play like that against the better teams and we will get turned over, I am hoping it’s the pressure of playing at home because against Wigan we were tremendous. This club has aged me 10 years mind, anyway have a good night lads, beer, wine and music for me and the wife.

i was struggling to think of anyone as well, figured onien did a lot of his usual dirty work, getting stuck into tackles and trying to make runs so he was my choice but dan neil made the difference with his passing when he came on, matete needs to realise his own ability and trust it more as at times he looked as if he did not want the ball and passed it when there was little need, would like to see him make more runs with the ball, seems to have lost a little confidence in doing that since he lost possession twice in a game and it cost us.

completely gave up on him after he awarded us that free kick in the box, same as last week, every slight touch they went down and got a free kick yet our lads are being grappled in the box and nowt given...no wonder this is the level they will never 'graduate' from.

Gave us an indirect free kick and didn’t book the ‘keeper <laugh> He had absolutely lost the plot.

One thing I noticed today that needs work, if we play a back 3 is that when out of possession we had 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 at the back. Especially when Winchester went forward.

Evans didn't really sit in, especially first half and when he did it left matete to cover a lot of midfield pretty much on his own.

It still looks a really lop sided unbalanced formation that decent teams will exploit

30,000, two excellent goals from open play, three points and a clean sheet ...

...yeah we have a decent chance of the play-offs if we keep that up.

But, seriously, wtf is the point of Crewe and why do their supporters bother.

Whenever a club, like theirs, goes out of the league, or under, people will say it's an absolute tragedy, heart of the community, etc etc etc.

People will say 'plucky little Crewe, punching above their weight, doing whatever they can to stand up to the 'big boys'.

IMO they were a total disgrace today, their manager and players should be on the bus feeling totally ashamed of their display.

They're cheats and cheated their own supporters who travelled here to cheer them on.

Instead of going down in a blaze of glory they chose to waste time from the start, try to get our players booked and cheat their way to a measly point.

It's absolutely pathetic, I hope their bus breaks down and they're stuck on the A19 until midnight.

I remember when Crewe stood for footballing ideals, producing good honest young players and beating bigger teams through skill and endeavour.

Now they may as well just f**k off and fold.

There was at least one instance in the first half where one of their players went down off the ball for no reason what so ever and their keeper was an absolute disgrace

Very nice! Another assist for Stewart and great interplay between Clarke and Roberts for the second.

Good management of Neil by Neil. Seems like he is refreshed and reenergised.
