Although I still think we looked iffy without him...Good job Bents was on form IMO..

 

As several have pointed out on here, Kalas is as brave as a lion but he is not innocent in our defensive issues, I keep saying if he was as good as some people say he is, he would be playing at a higher level,

 

I'd say, he is just about top championship/ bottom third Premiership level......thing is he's with us and had we been around playoff's level I think other clubs might have interest..Our goals conceded this season won't have given good grounds for a defensive player imo.

 

I would say that there has to be a reason we have not had a bid for him, I would have thought that with his ‘pedigree’ he would have been sought after in the January window for teams fighting premiership relegation or championship promotion to the premiership.

 

Would we know if a bid has/had been made unless we indicated we were looking to sell?

 

You would have thought after the Euro’s someone would have bid for him.

 

Didn’t he spend years with Chelsea, but being loaned out all the time, maybe he wanted to stay at one club for a while and enjoy a bit of stability.l.

In my opinion he’s better alongside a leader type, rather than being one himself.

 

Well let’s put it this way, we knew about the interest in Massengo leading up to the January window and interest in Wells, Palmer and Semenyo and even Bentley during the window and Scott after the window, so I suspect that we would have known the same about Kalas.

 

Wells, Palmer are seen to be surplus, Semenyo, Massengo, Scott are young, up and coming creative players, which would always create interest.. I think Bentley could play at a higher level than us, as could Kalas, but not so popular on the players market.. just my opinion..

 

I’m sure there are many different reasons why some approaches/offers come into the public domain, equally I’m sure there are many others that for various reasons don’t.

 

I don’t think that is the case anymore, there are no secrets in football any more, especially with the rise of the parasites sometime called agents.

 

I recon Pearson has instructed Massengo and Semenyo to play **** so the premiership vultures will back off!!!
