It's games like this that we need someone of the likes of Bally to bollock and push the team forward on the pitch. Someone who won't take getting beat or **** performances

It's absolutely phenomenal and they kept trying to raise the players ...

    ... a Ouija Board would've been better!

Got it of jail with that result. Performance needs to be seriously upped if we are to stay in the play off positions and have a chance of going up

Good second goal that, canny move.

    Poor performance, awful stuff.

Very surprised he kept the same shape for the full 90

Good Management - Great would have been starting with those players, tearing CAX apart and scoring 4+ goals

I don’t think we got out of jail. ImThought we deserved to win. We were poor (understatement) but they were worse. Was a professional win. Next home game will need to be a lot better and I expect we will. We normally play better against better sides at home.

Matete looks a decent player but he needs to think forward - too many safe, square balls.
I'd keep Roberts on for Gooch and give Dan Neil a start as the rest looks to have done him the world of good.
Defoe unfortunately has had his day.

The problem is that the players who start don't play as they should.

Roberts, when he started, was anonymous.

He came on today and was super-sub.

Players starting the game are under much more pressure than the subs.

Not a bad shout mate but for me I don't think we hurt them very much until the first goal but hey ho we got the 3 points

We’re likely to be out of the play-off slots after Tuesday’s games.
Got to hang on to the top 6 group by end of the month. Then it’s all set for a thrilling April - 7 teams fighting for 3 places. Only SheffWed & Pompey will have a game in hand.

I dont know how to feel really. It was another horrible performance. Neil said Tuesday was his worst in mgt, this must be close. We have the 3 points though. As with Tuesday it really is down to quality footballers playing on instinct.

Dan Neil is a rolls royce. As good as anything out of our youth teams in many moons. He has to play, simply has to, and everything should go through him. Clarke is a lad that wants the ball in tight places, always looking to take it in. They want the ball in the middle of the park though, not out wide. I hope Neil will learn lessons quickly that we are a side who can cut teams apart through the middle if we keep the ball on the deck. At times it is like we have gone back in time to hit the corners and try to play second ball football. That does not make the best of the players we have. I have faith Neil doesnt want to play like that because I watched his Norwich team and they were a footballing team. I think now though he has built some momentum, 10 points from 12, and some clean sheets, it is time he trusts his footballers to play in tight spaces, to play through teams rather than round them. Both goals today was us playing through lines and players, the wonderful Dan Neil plays a great ball and follows it, running off his man and finishing from Stewart who is so good with his feet. Roberts and Clarke too moved it beyond players and followed it forward. They have such good feet, no doubt from futsal, they welcome players wanting to come close them down. If we are to have joy this season it will be from playing a passing game on the deck through midfield. We can still do it, and I think Neil knows enough to see what is needed, lets give these ballers (as the youngsters say) the freedom to play their natural game.
