Hopefully we can use all of our subs at half time, 3-0 and cruising. Crewe aren't your usual lumpitforward L1 outfit so the defence should start on the halfway line and watch out for balls dropped over the top. I said yesterday we need to rotate so this is no surprise. I'd like to see Evans play the way he plays for his country, written off too early imo. Also, congratulations Patterson ... ... I didn't think he was capable of keeping Hoffman out.
I am not a fan of Evans particularly but he does a lot of good work shielding the back line, often just be shutting down angles. With what I assume is a back 3 of Winchester, Wright and Cirkin he might be a useful body in there. Gives Matete licence to get forward.
I like Patterson a lot, has a great chance to be a top keeper. He shoulf be our long term number 1. I didnt think it would be this season though - credit to him. I work with a Notts County fan who said he was excellent.
