Can’t see us winning, might scrape a draw, can’t see us scoring a goal at the minute, sorry but 0-2 Norwich win. The good thing is, take a look at where I am in the prediction league
Mr doom and gloom has spoken and we are doomed. Like hell we are lots of points to play for yet. All of you who have given up better hide behind the sofa or under the stairs. I hope to be watching it must be broadcast somewhere. Failing that i will deploy the Elland device. Basically it's a stick with an old wire coat hanger on the end. Aerial lead runs to telly and works a treat in Africa. It is not recommended to use the device in a thunderstorm. So come on you big girls blouses there plenty of games left yet.
The more I watch and listen to Marsch and the more I read up on him the more despondent I get. He said he needs to get the players believing in his system…. Let that sink home for a bit, the players don’t believe his system then? Internationals coached by various coaches and staff through their careers not believing in this new guys fresh approach, I find that most strange. On day one I thought good move, promote the U23 boss to the first team as he’ll help with the U23s in the team. Then I’m looking at the other underwhelming appointment of out of work coaches, I’m looking them up on Wiki and I’m thinking it just confirms he’s needing to pick Jackson’s brain as to who to play. My gut feeling is the players know already Marsch is out of his depth, Marsch himself realises he is too, we’re in the **** mate
Marsch is just stating the obvious it's something he needs to stop or we will just have to get used to his openess. Bielsa.. Rads and orta have fecked up. So now the only ones left are the players. They need to stop sulking and man up. Time to stand up and be counted. If i was Ayling i would be telling them all it's time. Him and cooper should get them together and sort them out.
But…. You can only have it one way… Orta/Bielsa ****ed up with the signings or they never, they just weren’t getting the best out of them and we expect Marsch to. If we signed dross they’ll still be dross, mate we’ve made a humongous mistake whichever way you look at it
Two major things worry me about sunday apart from the Obvious, is that Norwich are crap, and have not won since possibly before us, so guys in your wisdom who is the club most capable of ending that streak for them (no prizes if you guess right)
The feeling I got Thursday night, was the one I got when we lost 4-1 at Brum in the 03/04 season, we looked like we were going down, players, had given up, looked resigned to losing, no cohesion, a team that were together only a season before were now a bunch going through the motions. I really hope I'm wrong. For me Rodrigo shouldn't put the shirt on again, he wanted gone in January and it shows, if Raphinha doesn't perform tomorrow, then the same with him, it's pointless playing them, we may aswell put in some lads that are hungry for football, not prima Donna's who are thinking of where they think they'll be better playing next season.
Rodrigo has been a total waste of money. As for raph he needs to buck up or we won't get a good price for him. He is not that good anyway and not that fast either. Yes i would like to see an u23 in the midfield. Why do we have them if they don't get used. Forshaw will not last the full game anyway.
Just popped into your board to say that I hope you guys save yourselves and pick up enough points. Good luck.
I love football, but I have never felt so depressed over my beloved Leeds utd, even when we were in the championship I expected nothing at the time and got nothing, however that all changed with radz and Bielsa, I was starting to think wow look at this team, their hard to beat and most of all as entertaining as fck, I was so proud of them, then we were promoted and played unbelievable football, giving Liverpool two very tough games and then the icing on an already wonderful season ,was beating man city at the Etihad, wow talk about pride my chest swelled out, along with the biggest grin in Southampton, was expecting much the same this season, and a real push next season for top six, sadly things not turning out like this, very poor signings which is down to Orta, and poor one dimensional game planning, given the hand we were dealt with the injuries by Bielsa. Radz I am not sure he can take much of the blame he has put his hands in his pocket, which has been been totally blown, I don’t think jesse marsch can save us this season, but if he was here at the start of the season who knows I think he might have spent the funds more wisely and we would not be in this poor position, but we will never know.
****ing hell. I thought I was down on the team. Don't look it in to the manager too much. The system he plays is very similar to Klopps at Liverpool. It's not like it's a unique system that the players won't buy in to. It's a legitimate system used by many coaches. The manager hasn't lost the team....yet. He has done alot right since he came in. The performance at Leicester was about as good as we played all season where his system was instrumental in our success. The key to the Villa game was the deflected first goal. You could visibly see heads drop and then it was players turning in individual performances rather than for the team. Marsch did exceptionally well half time, made a sub, inspired the players to come out and dominate Villa for a good 15 minutes. Villa scored on the break and heads dropped again and we resorted to individuals again and a complete lack of discipline. To turn this around is very difficult. Almost impossible at this point. However, the first thing we need is some luck, any luck or even a red card in our favour, just to get us going. If we can implement a good zonal press which results in a goal then it might be enough to ignite that spark again. It can be that simple. The key is to start well again on Sunday, like we did at Leicester and to a lesser extent Villa. If we get on top of them early and get that early goal, get the crowd going, get another then it can turn it all around. All of a sudden there will be a little bit of bounce in players steps and we can build from there. If Norwich score a world from 30 yards or get another deflected shot then we will just disappear again. First 10 minutes of Sundays game is probably the most important 10 minutes since the play offs.
