EU energy policy is a total joke. Communist China supporting Russia’s barmy nationalist as well as the Federalist EU. The EU Commission is planning on cutting down on imports of Russian gas over the summer once they have made alternative energy provisions. Germany gets more than half of its gas via Nord Stream, has no liquefied natural gas storage capacity and just mothballed 3 nuclear power stations, so good luck with that fantasy from Brussels.

They are continuing to pay Russia, keeping the war going while Macron uses it to make a case for an EU defence policy and Army. The Germans sent a warehouse full of useless old anti-tank missiles to the Ukraine.

On one hand the EU is denouncing the war in Ukraine but on the other it is financing it. Sanctions on oligarchs are not having much impact in Ukraine and Vlad has got the Chechen military and Syrian air force in because his own troops are hopeless.

We sent functioning modern weapons to the Ukraine and we have been training their armed forces for years. We can – and should – just switch off Russian gas. The EU cannot as they are totally dependent on it. One thing that the EU and Britain have in common is disastrously short-sighted energy policy driven by Net Zero fantasies.

Martial Law must be over.

Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 have been banned from leaving the country and urged to join the army, as Russian forces reportedly breach the capital of Kyiv.
The Ukraine government announced on Thursday night that the men would be required to remain in the country as the conflict intensifies, while its defence ministry said there was “no age requirement” on joining the force.
Ukraine’s state border guard service (DPSA) said that the measure would remain in place for the duration of martial law.
