Good to eat and nearby shouldn't be in the same sentence when it comes to that area WKS. If you have time get parked and into the high st. plenty of places to eat there. If not enough time eat at the ground. Don't know anything about the stalls around the ground (there are loads on the south side) but the pies in the concourse are surprisingly good.

Probably less certain about Elyounnossi, but a change just might do the trick for all 3.

Despite all that Ralph has tried to teach us these last 3 years we still take a defeat as a trigger for wholesale team changes. Fortunately for us, Ralph tends to use training sessions to correct individual errors and set piece failings. He may make one or two changes based on the opposition, but largely he looks for a positive response on the training ground before team selection.

I'd go with the same line up.

I don’t know, Tino and Broja have been below par for a few games. What kind of message does it send to excellent players like perraud and KWP if they don’t get into the side when first teamers aren’t performing? I’m not saying player’s should be dropped for 1 or 2 errors but young players need to know they have to work to get in the side. A game or 2 on the bench isn’t the end of the world for them.

Ralph will do what he thinks is right, and from experience, especially of late he's got it right more than not. So I'm not disagreeing with your view on that. I just think we need to find out a bit more more about Adam A as Broja is looking less like a permanent solution now, though I'd love to see him stay! There's no harm in KWP/Perraud being paired up if Tino is not quite there yet after injury. Anyway we'll all be wrong probably by tomorrow's teamsheet announcement!!

It seems that Ralph has invested a lot of faith in Tino improving rapidly through experience but I still feel that Perraud is a bit unlucky to miss out at this time. I agree that we should persevere with our best team, Broja has too much talent to have too many quiet games although I get people feeling that AA should be given another chance.

I would tend to go with this line up too. I am not convinced Watford have much fight in them and am anticipating a comfortable win. For what it is worth.both Perraud and Valerie have played really well wen selected. I particularly like the former.

It's a bit of a balancing act regarding AA. He is after all our player whereas Armando isn't and an uncertain future. With 10 games to go perhaps we should be looking after our investment rather than someone else's. Difficult because another poor result and the knives will be out again.

Fair assessment. It's clearly not firing for AA at the moment, and as much of a cliché as it is, strikers tend to be streaky players. Why increases Brojas value for Chelsea? It's not like we have anything to play for league wise. At least give AA a run to prove he can compete at this level.

I feel like this game has come maybe a month too early for Watford. Their five remaining away games include Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea, so they probably need to be beating us. They do have some great home games yet to play, but it's a risk ("eggs in one basket") to look to survive based on those home games alone.

But with 10 games still to play, and "only" being three points behind 17th, and knowing what Roy is like as a manager, I do suspect that they would be content with a point. I can see them setting up very much like Newcastle - compact, sitting behind the ball, not being too adventurous.

If they can get fortunate through us making another defensive error or two, they might be able to nick the win, but fundamentally I see them coming for a draw. And I'm not convinced that will be enough for them. Whereas if this was played in four or five weeks time, that might have forced Watford into trying to win it.

I’d start perraud at LB with KWP at RB. But I’d keep Broja in the side.

I just keep thinking that Broja and Livramento are both very young and against a team desperate for points it’d be sensible to put Perraud and Adam Armstrong in at the start.

I'd have Perraud and KWP as our two best FBs at this point. But after West Ham, if Ralph wants to put Caballero at LB and one of the Under 16s in goal, I'd be happy to trust his judgement.

    Forster
    KWP bednarek sally perraud
    Romeu JWP
    Armstrong Elyonoussi
    Adams Armstrong

    I’d go with this team.

This is a good point . I would also add that in the substitute appearances he has made recently, I do not think he has been bad. Even at the beginning of the season, I felt Armstrong showed potential. I think he needs a good run in the current starting eleven and see how ge gets along. He strikes me as being industrious and looks very good technically. I think he has the potential and just needs to be given more game time.

More replies to one post I’ve seen in a while
You’ve hit on a key topic when we’re basically playing well, have had a blip or downturn and have options

I know you didn’t use it but it kind of suggests dropping players and I’m not a fan of the word dropped. For me you may make changes for many reasons and Tino may have a knock, Bro gets kicked every game, they’re both young and Moy has different strengths and weaknesses to possible replacements

I also like having impact on the bench and we didn’t really have that v the loadsamoney toon

So for me Ralph will be deciding stuff like if Tino needs a rest, he wants Bro to come on v tired legs or if Moy will find space or Moussa running at them

I’d start with Perraud, AA and Moy

I would have Perraud at LB and KWP at RB. For me, we need to have left and right footed full backs to get to the by-line to cross the ball into the box and to whip crosses curling away from the keeper. I also think that KWP is a better defender at RB than Tino.

    So one change for me.

I wonder if the Daily Mail reads online Saints boards as their suggested team for tomorrow contained the three swaps mentions (Armstrong, Djenepo and Perraud in).
