In tonight's other news... despite the economic pressures following Brexit, Covid and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, reports from the milliners industry show an unprecedented upturn in the sale of hats since January 2022. One customer even has a standing order of 2 hats per week, along with a delivery of salt and ketchup. The industry is struggling to keep up with the demand and may have to seek a hat loan agreement with Shola Ameobi due to a supply shortage.

Really interesting at the bottom but think 2 wins and a draw could be enough to see us clear now on 38 points and think we could be there by the time the final whistle blows against Norwich. Would require Watford and Burnley to hit 16 & 17 points in their remaining 9 & 11 games respectively, they've got 22 & 21 points in 29 & 27 games so far so they'd need to nearly double their tally in 1/3 of the games they've taken so far to amass those points. Both still to play each other and we can still take points off Burnley in the last game of the season. Burnley's run in: Soton, City, Norwich, West Ham, Wolves, Watford, Villa, Spurs, NUFC (plus rescheduled games vs Villa again and Everton) (generous guestimate: 17 points) Watford's run in: Everton, Liverpool, Leeds, Brentford, City, Burnley, Palace, Leicester, Chelsea (generous guestimate: 13 points) In that generous guestimate they beat each other so could Draw and drop 2 points easily... Burnley the more likely but just can't see either of them picking up the required points tbh. Everton, as well, have a tough run in: NUFC, Watford, West Ham, Man U, Palace, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester, Brentford, Arsenal (plus rescheduled games vs Leicester and Burnley) They need 6 points from us and Watford before that run in. Could see them only picking up another 7/8 points past that which would leave them on a generous guestimated 37/8 points which again that would mean dropped points for both Watford and Burnley so can't see of 3those breaking the 38 point barrier now... please log in to view this image
Spurs (A) Wolves (H) Crystal Palace (H) Leicester (H) Norwich (A) Liverpool (H) City (A) Arsenal (H) Burnley (A) I reckon we'll get 10 points from that, and that will be more than enough. I think 7 may literally be enough. 38 pts.
Difficult batch of games to predict. Could see us only getting about 7 points depending on how we play. Can't expect much/anything against Spurs, Arsenal, City or Liverpool. Wolves & Leicester are tricky ties, but at least we are at home. Likewise with Palace. Even Burnley and Norwich are both away games. So although most fans might 'expect' a win, both games could be a real dogfight. Somewhere between 6-10 points is realistic from those 9 games. Hopefully it will be enough.
I almost feel as if we could stay up just from avoiding defeat vs Norwich and Burnley to stop them from acquiring points. I think Palace and Leicester at home are the more likely victories. I think we will beat Norwich, could already be relegated by the time we face them
You're welcome Trev. If you ever need any help with your prediction league then you know where to come. Either that or a standing order of whatever results Jak wants to offer you.
