    Anyone else been watching?

Crawley and Root doing well here but the draw looks likely in the 1st test.

    England 111/1

It's been a very steady test match, pitch not helping.

After the start we had in the first session I will take a draw

Perhaps England could have done with a couple of tried and tested bowlers... can't think of any atm <doh>

31 overs still to go, it's possible but need a break through soon

Definitely signs of small improvements, bowling seems a bit hit and miss.

Certainly shouldnt be asking stokes to bowl 40 plus overs though

Agreed, it was the same at times in the Ashes.

Certainly not. Root is clueless when it comes to captaining fast bowlers.

He has over bowled Stokes in the past, over bowled Archer, over bowled Stone, over bowled Wood. He has a plan A thought up on the dressing room and that's it. Being a great batsman doesn't change this.

He is the touring captain, and he will get the team he asks for, though I personally think he has forfeited that right due to his plodding captaincy.

Unless Saqib Mahmood is injured, I'd love to hear his reasons for picking Craig Overton in front of him. Saqib has been terribly treat by Root and England.

You can add Leach to the list as well, he has hardly played for 2 years then when he is finally called up, is expected to take loads of wickets with rubbish fields set.

I wouldn't have blamed Leach if had told England to piss off and gone back to Somerset to actually play cricket

Aye. Including refusing a review on Holder when they 89 for 4. He would have been out. You never know then.
He has been disgraceful with Leach.

    Pitch is a pudding...

Good batters, good bowlers...let down by the pitch... hard to get out, hard to score runs.
