Yes mate i heard that That's why I didn't include him in loans out. Would hopefully be our 5th choice CM and would possibly get opportunities in cup games and be a regular in match day squads. By all accounts he's very highly rated by the club.

I think ideally Conte has a 25 man squad next season. 2 quality experienced players for each position, 3rd choice goalie and 2 others ( Devine, Sarr/ Scarlett)

I thought under the current terms they aren't allowed to sell any players?

Incidentally this includes loanees, which means come June their training ground will suddenly be inundated by around 700 players with nowhere to go.

 

Oh well, I guess they'll just have to void a few dozen contracts...

Also I know Azpilicueta comes to the end of his contract - not sure if others do. Currently they can't offer him a new contract.

 

Rudiger and Christensen are out of contract and Saul Niguez is on loan.
Azpilicueta's contract has an additional year that the club could trigger, but presumably they now can't.

 

Sanctions will be lifted before the summer transfer window opens.

Gerard Romero seems to be on a mission to be irritating today, both saying that Barca have agreed a deal for Franck Kessie - and that Barca are also looking to offload Memphis Depay onto us...who he referred to as "Sours"

Given how unlikely the latter is, as Depay has a pretty **** attitude and I can't see Conte putting up with that for long, that at least gives us something to cling onto about the former

 

Romano has claimed that we've not made a bid for Depay and aren't looking to sign him.

 

Romano can also get our name right...
