This thread is interesting now! Norwich and Watford - royally ****ed! Played more than others and both had their (extremely brief) new manager uplifts and are back in the ****. Woy got a pretty sweet deal there, work for a few months then get sacked and walk off with a multi million pay off, who'd turn that down?! And Norwich clearly ain't good enough for the Prem. Meaning it's one from 6 now with 18th to 13th still in it. As much as I'd like that wheezing ginge Dyche to finally get relegated, Leeds have to be favourites for the drop right now, they're getting torn apart in literally every game.
Is it foolish to say we are safe now? Logically, I think we are. I'm sticking with my 3 choices of Norwich, Watford and Brentford. Leeds and Everton are bound to click at some point
Leeds looked clueless at the back yesterday, as though the new coach had tried to change their shape and they had no idea where they should be playing.
Yeah, I'd be tempted to change to Leeds. Was interesting to see if there would be a bounce and for all they stopped man marking in the first game and tried, they still did very little. Get the feeling Marsch is going to really flop. Everton I think will get lucky in the sense there will be 3 worse teams. Brentford are still too light, but Eriksen looks to have been a solid piece of business for the short term. Burnley are just crap, only won 3 times all season. Think I'm slightly swayed to Leeds now.
I thought Brentford would be the 3rd. But Everton's fixtures are horrific and Leeds seem determined to be relegated. I think one of those two may take the final spot. Wolves look in good form. If they turn over Everton and then we do, they are in the ****. I dunno though, Leeds are having a nightmare defensively and can't do **** without Phillips and Bamford it seems. I'd take Phillips though Him and Bellingham to join Big Joe, Willock, and Bruno. CL midfield
I do wonder if we'll see a tougher Leeds in the coming weeks. Couldn't be much more open than they were under Biesla and it will take time for a sturdier back line to emerge for them. Question is do they have that time?
I like Marcelo Gallardo for us after Eddie. Once he's won the CL. I love watching Bellingham, football looks easy to him.
Don’t know anything about Gallardo but Bellingham is probably the most impressive midfielder I have seen play. Everything he does is just so slick. Would love to see him at Newcastle. Unless he is willing to stay at Dortmund for 3-4years I expect he will go to Man Utd before he comes to us.
That's what stepping stone clubs are for though. They get used to playing in the PL and we pay their clubs a little development cash
Everton are likely to face a points deduction THIS SEASON. I thought it would be next but have since seen and heard stuff which has said they would have no grounds on which to appeal the punishments as they are so far over the FFP threshold even after COVID adjustments and they were aware of the rules. Anybody have a clue as to just how big a points deduction it would be?
He's doing well, we were out a few weeks ago to watch the stranglers at the city Hall. A few pints, good music, and good company.
If they go down without a points deduction then it should be applied next season. It's a sizable overspend, why did they not take a bit more care? Six points minimum.
