So who's to blame James or marsch, if James ignored the instructions then it's James surely if the players aren't going to follow what has been worked on then you may as well jack it.....oh hang on looks like we have
It's hard to put it exactly into words, but anyone inside ER last night would know what I mean. We've destroyed our own soul to try and retain the PL millions and all that's now left is an empty nothingness.
Harrison had been doing the job all night but when subbed off it became Dan James's responsibility, which he shirked. The coach clearly does not have the gravitas required and is likely just a theorist when it comes to the elite level of coaching. James was fully aware of what he'd done (not done) as he held his head in his hands after the goal went in.
My head was in my hands after the first goal Danny boy!! We had an elite coach but unfortunately he lost his way or maybe he lost the players, either way our recruitment has been appalling on the whole and elite coach or not he is stuck with them.... it's up to Burnley/Everton to **** up for me because I'm doubtful we can help ourselves
They weren't doing it for Bielsa either. Too many players not tracking runners. Mainly the new signings Raphinha, Rodrigo, Firpo. They've not worked all season. I've never done this before but when Firpo got injured I was actually happy. ****ing happy! I'm suck of watching that **** run forwards, lose the ball and then jog back whilst the opposition attack. I'd have told him not to bother turning up again after the scum game. Since then he has done it multiple times. With Firpo out I hope we put Koch at the back and Dallas at left back.
I'm sure we all want different things London, but we are just supporters and not experts. If we'd won there would have been nothing said about out of position players IMO. But the point I was trying to make was that it is only two games in and yet he's getting grief already.
Having had nightmares over last nights game I can only say what utter dross we have and that includes the so called top management Radrizzani needs to sell up asap and fcuk off asap and take Orta with him Firpo Rodrigo and Raphinah are not fit for purpose and I just have a feeling that at least 2 of those 3 are causing unrest in the camp I did mention about 6 weeks ago that there was trouble at t’mill Can’t blame Jesse he’s been put in a straight jacket Championship here we come for how many years this time. I still think getting rid of Bielsa was the wrong move but if you’re going to do it do it early and give the new guy a chance But o no skint Radz wanted to do it on the cheap wait till the window closed so he can’t be called on for investment
Are you're saying James was scared of Bielsa and doesn't respect Marsch? Or that he used to know his job - because it's not complicated to man mark someone - and hasn't take on board his new responsibilities yet? It's obviously the latter. James works hard and no-one doesn't try under a new manager. I said last week (need that shot down in flames gif) that it usually takes teams time to take on new instructions. Is that not an example - not knowing when to track and when to let him go? Marsh's fault? James' fault? Circumstance? Do you not think the team was already broken under Bielsa? Radz said so, and you've historically been very supportive of the management team
Spot on. Leicester's goal saturday went through Ayling's legs, first goal yesterday was a deflection. We need a goal mouth scramble off someone's arse on Sunday.
I'm not Billy's secretary, but I'll give my perspective. I agree with everything in normal font. Re the bold bit. I accept the point about the benefit of PL experience, it's a different game physically to anywhere in the world. But it wouldn't guarantee success. Hassenhuttl went austria, leipzig, southampton and has done a brilliant job. You already know Marsch is out of his depth? Strong statement blono. He got a response on Saturday. Yesterday we were dire. I'll judge him in May and even then I'll have to caveat the hand he was dealt.
We'd have to ask Dan James why he failed to follow the instruction. What I can say is, something similar happened recently under Bielsa when he gave James the exact same message to track back and even though he was knackered he did it. My opinion would be that James thought he could get away with it under this coach. No I don't think the team was broken under Bielsa. Yes there were problems (set pieces etc) but we still had the ability to come storming back as shown against Burnley, West Ham and even Scumchester. Against the so called lesser teams of the division we were always very competitive with perhaps 2 under par performances against Saints and Everton (both away). At home we've performed reasonably well until last night when the wheels came off for the first time. Forget the scoreline(s) as it was the fact we were clueless that stood out.
I don't buy the James argument and i'd suggest from our sieve-like stats there was a lot more wrong than set pieces. But agree we usually managed to create something and last night was a shambles. I was genuinely surprised that we created as much as we did on saturday as normally it's easier to shore up a defence than create new attacking patterns. Last night we huffed and puffed after half time - until they scored - but no quality.
