I doubt there is any need for a feud. With your new resources you will go flying past us next season. It might well even start this season seeing how the form is currently going I just groan at some of the commentator cliches with regards to Newcastle. “They love a number 9 up in Newcastle” (what set of fans don’t!? Just because Shearer was there for years) And with Bruno today they said “As a new player he’d want to endear himself to the St James faithful and that is one way”. Or something to that affect. So banal and applicable to every new player for every club!
I've never once called them cry babies I just don't understand why you'd feel the need to go another clubs forum, (who aren't in any way shape or form a rival) and mouth off. Especially when your fan base has a reputation for being whiny little ****s. What is it? Boredom? Lack of anything to do in Newcastle? Or just a general inferiority complex because they're from the North?
Primarily applies to their Twitter fans. And the chap I had to put on Ignore who kept posting stupid gifs
Didn’t look like Lincoln called them cry babies! It just happens to be the title of the thread. And I didn’t think that was aimed at the fans anyway!
I thought that we were a bit unlucky tonight and a draw might've been a fairer result. Che's volley nearly broke the bar and their GK made some good saves. it's frustrating to concede from a corner when we had 12 to their 5 but it was a great finish. The Geordies were loud as usual and it was a very good turnout for a thursday night. I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't have lost the original fixture but we have to get on with it now and we still have a bit to play for yet. Top 10 and going further in the cup would be a brilliant season for us.
We need to take advantage of the next 2 league games. Villa and Newcastle (on current form) were always going to be tough but we need to be really focussed against Leeds and Watford to stand a decent chance of 6 points.
Nah mate, not like us. I'd be very surprised if any of our fans on here are mouthing off, posting gifs and acting like unsupervised 13 year olds on other boards. "Banter" is the excuse usually trotted out by fat middle aged men when they get called out for being arseholes Anyone who goes looking for a row is a prick in my book.
Good game lads, hope you have a good remainder of the season. I can say that now cos I think we're actually safe.
Well that's good news to hear. Not feeling great at present, was hoping for a result to lighten things up! However, not sure what has happened, just have a niggling doubt about our defensive set-up. Plus it sounds like JWP for once had not his best game for a while? Ah well move on, there's 3 points coming soon I think,!!
Decent game tonight, we were slightly fortunate to get a win. That Walker Peters is some player! Good luck for the rest of the season, thoroughly decent side.
They were saying that when I was a nipper in the '70s, it started with "Wor" Jackie Milburn in the '50s and then Malcolm Macdonald 20 years later.
I thought first half we really should have gone in at HT ahead. We were excellent and Newcastle scored with their only chance. Then a moment of genius from Bruno what's his name and suddenly we're behind. We just didn't look like scoring in the 2nd half. Credit to Newcastle there, they defended really well and were crafty in slowing the game down. Not going to have a go as we've done exactly the same when we've been ahead. It's very frustrating when you're losing though!
Alternatively **** off back to your own forum then you won't have to read it. Then you can partake in a self indulgent circle **** while posting all the Vince gifs all you want.
Bit of a strange one on reflection, I thought we were very lax going forward in the second half but as the initial frustration moves away I was thinking we could have had 4-5 today (two crossbars and two good attempts from Salisu well saved). It was our defence and central midfield that was the problem today and Forster had an absolute dog of a game in terms of distribution, the worst of his current run imo. KWP and Stuart Armstrong had good games, I thought Adams really gave it his all and Adam Armstrong also made a difference when he came on. Romeu, Salisu (defensively), Bednarek and Forster had a tough day. Broja seemed subdued. Livramento will probably want words with his team mates tomorrow about their constant refusal to get the ball to him in good positions. Typically of Saints we can’t lose one and pick ourselves back up though, confidence is so fragile with this group and one bad result tends to start a chain, although the reverse is also true. Just a shame that these results nullify the good work done against Spurs, Man U and Man City. Need to beat Watford, or it will all have been for nothing.
