Those clubs haven't gone under, but certainly Bury did. Think the same happened to Chester and Hereford. Like Tobes said, the Tories could have allowed a sale and stipulated that money didn't go to Abramovich or funnel it's way into Russia. The problem was in the governments creation of a hit list, one that was gradually going to be applied. My thoughts are they purposely created the list in that manner, to give him and any other 'tory' favourable oligarchs chance to move assetts. That in itself is so wrong.

oh yea, they should have just gone for it (although i heard there was an argument, to start slow and ramp up the sanctions, if you applied it all at once, there was nothing to make it worse should putin escale things) and banned them all and not given an opportunity to move assets. I was just getting to the point that Roman was tipped off that he would get sanctioned. I don't think anyone or his dog is surprised he was (from all the leaks and labour calling for it a few times).
