Desperate measures. Limit the discussion to what you want to discuss and definitely not all aspects and then you’re willing to discuss. Hmmm where have I come across that principle before. That’s right, previous discussions with you. Anyway, I know you’re wrong, you know you’re wrong, everyone on Planet Earth knows you’re wrong so I’ll leave it at that and concentrate on the game.
You're a strange man folders I have to say. I've never met a man so derailed by his emotional decision making. You haven't even understood a word I've said which makes for a dangerous combination. Regardless I'm now focusing on the match
Tough game but hopefully we can continue our run. Not unthinkable and I liked Eddie's response to Ralph getting all in a tizz. Just a bit of mental warfare to set the tone. 2-1 to the Toon.
Ralph was pissed off cos we didn't have the option to rearrange, for instance, the game against MU which we lost 9-0 and we had absolute bagloads of injuries. We were playing lads that don't now get games at Lincoln, Swansea and Young Boys, and our bench was populated by the tea lady and some children. That's why the Covid cancellation stung him a bit. I don't think he responded badly. He raised some good points, and I think it's pretty clear that your mob, understandably, 'manipulated' the situation a little once Wilson and ASM were injured. He was more annoyed by the rules than by NFC, and surely that's understandable. It was suddenly a case of injuries count, not just Covid cases. If it had just been Covid cases, by most accounts you could have fielded a team (I mean you could have fielded a team anyhow, but of course you didn't. Why would you when you didn't need to by the rules). That's why he was annoyed. Would we have done the same thing in your position, yes, almost definitely. Still doesn't necessarily make it the fair and right thing to do. The rules were set, and you abided by them. It was just a little bit touchy for us, because when we've had injury crises before we have of course had to play games (and got mullered as a result). Whoever said earlier in the thread that we cancelled a game later on, no we didn't. We haven't used that rule at all. It's not an SFC vs NFC thing. It was more Ralph vs the FA making arbitrary and somewhat unfair rules. As B&B says, it may be in the rules, but you can understand under the circumstances why Ralph felt like he did. It's human. Anyway, enjoy the game tonight, though I hope we annihilate you, of course.
Nailed on defeat here. Never been so sure about anything in my life. Infact, I'll eat my hat if we avoid defeat.
