Finally the money laundering at Chelski has come to an end, and very abruptly ... Roman no longer has any assets in the UK, and all his money still here is gone ... it's wonderful news on a humanitarian and crime front, although the Blue Scum fans won't agree Chelski have been hit hard by the sanction: not allowed to sell tickets club shop closed, no merchandise sales allowed only allowed to spend £20k on travel for every away game which would have meant train travel and room sharing at a B&B, but it seems Chelski have paid for all their away travel in advance ... you'd swear they knew this was coming club can't be sold Govt has issued a special license allowing Chelski to compete until end of May questions are now being asked about the club's ability to pay their way until the end of the season, we'll probably find out in due course the feeling around the City is that Chelski may well now be available at a bargain price as Roman is not allowed to receive any proceeds from the sale of the club ... for me the Govt should sell the club at full whack and split the profits between the NHS and help for Ukraine refugees ... at least it will go to good use one thing is clear, Chelski won't have a benevolent benefactor willing to write silly cheques to bankroll the squad anymore ... things may just start to get very tough for Blue Scum, about time too ... we could well see this happen to Toon in the future as well with the Saudis being very pro Russian and anti humanitarian ... interesting development
Posted this on the brekky thread but just noticed this post, so here you are Loving this as Chelsea are now dead and buried. Cannot sell the club, cannot sell tickets or merchandise. Cannot buy or sell playersyet players can leave when contract ends, so….. Drinkwater Azpalacueta Rudiger Rahman Palmeiri Christianson Miazga Musonda Clarke-Salter Broja All the above walk on a freebie, plus 2 loan players with another 10 players with contracts ending next year Ave it
Weekly wages are reported at 28 million a week. That's 112 million a month. They won't have that money in the bank and they have no means of making any money. Players will be already on with lawyers making moves to make contracts null and void if wages are not paid. This also affects youth players, women's team. Its quite possible that there will be no Chelsea this time next year. Its certain that they will not be challenging anywhere near the top again for the foreseeable future even if things work out 'well' for them.
The best case scenario for Chelsea is to be sold under a special license to new owners who would be left with HUGE bills to pay. They will have to cut their cloth from not on.
Nike may pull the plug as shirt sponsors and board meeting happening right now. Sleeve sponsor Hyundi also thinking about pulling sponsorship
