Would he be saying the same thing if the match had been off because of the weather,we would still have the new players in the team, don't see the difference between the two tbh
No I don't suppose he would but that's not what happened. There seems to be some confusion here because I'm not saying what he said should be upheld I'm simply saying he has a point and that doesn't make him vile. It's a classic case of people not liking what's been said and being unpleasant towards the person that said it. He's entitled to his opinion and I can understand where he's coming from.
I will repeat what ive said several times 1. He's entitled to be unhappy that Newcastle will have players available that wouldn't have been when the game was postponed. 2. Newcastle haven't broken any rules. All I'm saying is I understand where he's coming from I'm not arguing about the rules or other rules.
The comments were made at the time of the event and everyone knew nufc would spend big. Yesterday he was asked about it and answered and I objected to people calling him vile. He also made complimentary remarks about Howe and what the club did.
I never said you were arguing about the rules. Postponed games have happened since the year dot and the teams available for the replay are usually different in some ways. He’s whining about something that’s happened millions of times purely because of the perception that we are mega rich and can fill the team with mega stars for the restaging. We haven’t filled the team with mega stars, we also only signed 5 of which one is out injured and one only on loan. If he felt so strongly why hasn’t he raised the point before? Maybe like 1920 or something when it first occurred.
Covid hasn't been around that long and many rules change because people bring them into question. If people didn't raise issues with rules wed be living in a world where women don't vote for example. I can understand why he's raised the issue and I won't change my view on that and I also don't really care because I want my club to win. I'm not alone Southampton fans agree and Newcastle fans agree with the rules.
I'm sort of with Chaos on this one. He wasn't vile for asking the questions or raising the issue. He was just wrong.
Covid has been around for two years affecting football postponement wise but he’s upset about one game, not all of them, just this one. He’s trying to whip up his crowd by talking nonsense and anyone backing him is also talking nonsense.
I'd also bet my bottom dollar if the roles were reversed nufc fans would be crying about how unfair it was. That's football
I think I've made my opinion clear mate im not going to change it. I don't have to dig him out. I know I'd be saying what he was essentially. Anyway let's move on to the match mate you've got your view and I've got mine.
It’s not a problem, sticking to an unachievable argument is up to you and him. Tough game tonight but I think we can get something. Our line up will be interesting.
Nothing to be achieved the rules are the rules. I can understand his views. Yes it is a tough game and if we lose I'm going to tell everyone it shouldn't have been postponed.
I was wondering if there are two @Billions and Billions because we've got one that visits the Saints board who's a bit of an arse but the one on here seems quite likeable. I'm liking all this new found friendship that we seem to have going between our fans recently, drop in anytime. Just off to the game, hope to see you all there. All the best UTS
