Running back doesn't come from being asked to, it's seeing the danger and being willing to run to stop it.

For all of salahs great goals assists etc I love it when he's flying back to fill in at rightback to protect the team.

I dont watch mbappe alot but I don't think I've ever seen him attempt a tackle never mind track back. Just an opinion but like I say its the difference between worlds best and great

maybe he’s been told not to track back. To stay up top in order to be available for counter attacks and to occupy the defenders?

nah. he is not as bas as neymar or mesii but its well knows poch is extremely hamstrung and frustrated with having 7 defenders without the ball not 10.

From Abramovich? Written off presumably, since he's not supposed to get any money out of them. But I don't know for sure.

I think it’s absolutely a state of mind
The daft thing is if he hadn’t have got so big so young he may have been different
    Salah good example
Went to big club had to scale back and work at a lesser club at that point in time
    Mbappe just blew up
I don’t see the work rate in him
    Salah yes

This is it. Back in the day messi was everywhere, even labeled as the greatest, he still worked every game. Always harresing the opposition.

It's a work ethic that I'm unsure if mbappe has, it's got nothing to do with your managers instructions, you shouldn't need to be told to make an effort.

He's only a boy though, we will see if he moves

    what happened to our debt?

RBS sold us to NESV. they took the money.

I presume cheslea's debt to RA (which in effect what it all is) will be seized by the UK government so the uk goverment will take 3bil form some US billionaire's consortium and that will be that.

zero debt but massive wages and a future looking more spursy than citeh.

Surely not saying that mbappe doesn’t make an effort?

The original point was he isn’t tracking back. That is a tactical thing from the manager. If the manager doesn’t want him to because he wants to keep him up top to be effective on the counter then you can’t moan that mbappe isn’t tracking. Let’s be honest in French lesgue he probably doesn’t need to track anyway cos psg have the ball for 80% of the games.

it’s same way you can’t moan at our defence when someone breaks the offside trap because tactically our defenders are told to hold their line and back that the forwards won’t get behind. If they do then you can’t blame the defence, only the manager.

probably have a sizable payment coming up.

OR just see it as a good time to bail out and avoid being accused of being a russian stooge like cadburys.

well that was the press talk, you are probably correct that the fee would be lower as a frozen asset of a mass murderer.

Who knows really. I mean forbes value them at 3.2billion dollars and us at 4.1billion dollars so.... yeah i can't see us being worth that either.

Considering how little money ,if any , most PL clubs make paying 3 bn for one is financial lunacy imo as there is no obvious value in it since a club at that value is already one of the "elite" clubs . Makes far more financial sense to buy a Newcastle and spend 1bn to make them an "elite" club

I'll be honest, I cant remember the initial point, I cant really be arsed to look back.

In games psg get over run and in the distance is mbappe and Neymar are stood with their hands on their hips.

The question isn't with ability but work ethic, I agree 90% of the time he won't have to, but some times he does need to and he does **** all.

As long as he's stood upfront for someone else I'm not massively arsed though.

My original point was I don’t have any burning desire to see him at our place
    Someone then asked why
If he comes I will trust that Klopp knows more than I do but atm I just see a talented but massive ego

    first of all.

chelsea will already have paid for or committed to the costs of the second leg trip to france for lille, but they may well wat to dump the comp now cos they won't be able to afford to travel :)

    Liverpool
    M City
    Utd

ok opponents as they can take their team bus up on the day and come home the same night (**** the players)

Ajax - can get a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam i suppose and rent a bus to get there and back but the players will need to sleep in the bus or airport overnight <.alugh>

Troublesome ties. this is getting a bit far to go so they might need to just send 16 players and manager on a plane wearing thier kit and send along medical staff in a car on the ferry. they will do well to get a hotel and plane etc out of 20k for a 50 man travelling party
    Madrid
    Atletico
    villareal

These are probably even worse as they are getting further and further

    Bayern Munich
    benfica
    Juventus

seems to me they need to ring up ryanair and fly out of stansted and try and get really cheap tickets at 6 am on the day of the game :) i would say tuchel on ryanair would be hiarious.

"Here is more from Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries on how the government has attempted to sanction Roman Abramovich while still protecting English football.
“If it sells tickets and it sells merchandise, Abramovich who owns the club, will benefit. That can’t happen. Our focus was on protecting the club and the national game, and the fans, that was our focus and we think we’ve done that by the licence measures that we’ve put in place.”
Asked about the negative impact the sanctions could have on Chelsea's revenues, Dorries added: “Well sanctions have consequences and that’s a fact.
“Abramovich has links to Putin who is mounting a barbaric and evil attack against the people of Ukraine. This government, we in this department, stand with the people of Ukraine.
"As I’ve said, I’m afraid sanctions have consequences. Abramovich’s actions have consequences too.”

    about time.

On all the travel costs. Lets be honest every player in the Chelsea squad (at the very least the CL players) have earned enough from Chelsea to be able to afford their own travel and accommodation for away games.

Clear the sanctions are to put pressure on Abromovich to speak to Putin, rather than just be a passive bystander who runs off with a bag full of swag.

i suppose its like buying a house.

Either it goes up in value and you sell on or not.

The glaziers have made it work much to the love of their supporters ;) they are taking funds out however that works to pay off loans that bought the club day 1 etc.

if you have other things to flog (fsg do) on the back of the thing then you can make a killing with global exposure.

you might be right that buying a distressed asset l;ike LFc for 200mil or newcastle and spending money building them up will work too but there is only so many elites and frnakly i think you have to displace one in marketing terms globally.

theres not an endless supply of plastic fans. they just move from one club to another i suppose. Cheslea will have a lot of "fans" unfollowing them now another club.
