Good man, there is no way i can afford Sky as would have to get Sky GO at 44 a month, on a limited income that is just way too much.

    Quite right Westy.
And I hereby proclaim my right to Reductio ad Hitlerum as and where I feel others are caving in to what they perceive as insurmountable pressures from the establishment; something Murdoch knows all about…

    Interesting.

Thanks Tribo. As it happens, I personally have no interest in watching anything even remotely associated with Murdoch.

Thankyou Tribo for your contribution, I am sure everybody will be able to find an alternative to Sky for next year.

Takes two to tango, so therefore... LETS TANGO. ;)
I am sure Arsenal could have easily found an alternative to Bergkamp.

Nice try but you are SO wrong - and young to know anything about it.

Bruce Rioch (lasted only 1 year) signed Dennis - recognised as one of the very best players around.
It was held to be an amazing coup - Dennis could have his pick of who to sign for.
So - no Arsenal could not have found a similar or better player - it was a major triumph, most would say Arsenal's best ever player.
Only Thierry Henry might be his equal.

My point is there are many and better drivers - now that Schuey is too old.

Too old for what... to overtake 20 drivers on the grid in Spa?
To battle Hamilton for 20 laps in Monza?
To fight for 1st in the rain in Montreal and set fastest laps there?
To gain the highest finish for Mercedes so far in 2011?
To be only 7 points behind his younger teammate compared to around 80 last year?
He is here to stay and bring another team to the top again.
So as long as he is fit and healthy he should carry on.
Bergkamp was the best foreign player to join English football I agree, but your argument about Michael has no foundations.
You know where the exit is ;)

back on topic, but still ranting, I see the BBS have just renewed their multiyear deal to show Wimbledon. Anyone think the BBC are being a little bit elitist about which sport they spend their (I mean our) money on?

Here to stay, and to bring another team to the top again? I'll watch with interest.
My tip: Go to Ladbrokes and ask for the odds on him driving for a team finishing in the top3 constructors next season.

Place your bet - and wave goodbye to the money.

see you later - off out today with grandsons.

Schumacher/Hamilton threads are like gravity. They are a constant, they are inevitable and they always bring people down.

What goes down must have been 'up' and sometimes what goes down might even bounce back; but I think Bergy may have a good point about Schumacher's ultimate ability to do this!
