This is how the UK is perceived. When friends here in the Netherlands heard Johnson describe the visa fiasco as world leading they fell off their bar stools laughing. Another ****ing triumph.

So what I'm hearing from a different source from the usual, is that Putin has basically given up on the original strategy of winning this war on the battlefield. They've taken too many casualties in their armed forces, and aren't making any new pushes toward cities. They've been utterly hopeless and found out on that front.

What he's decided to do is far more unpleasant and nefarious, and is just using air strikes and artillery to batter the cities, regardless of civilian casualties, and to do it for so long and intensely, that someone in the Ukrainian government, or the west, whoever, will bottle it eventually in the face of the casualty count to give the Russians what they want.

 

Which is essentially what they did in Chechnya.

 

Bully tactics.

 

Trying to win the media war at home, and to draw NATO in so he can say “told you so”.

 

The one thing I have not seen reported is how do people from Belurus feel about Levechenko's involvement with Putin. I am surprised that there have been no protests reported as the press was reporting that he was hugely unpopular before he got involved in the military escapade. I wonder if protests in Belurus are more likely. Can't see much happening in Russia itselt to criticise Putin. That will be a very slow process.

 

In other words, Chelsea are ****ed.

 

If they can’t even sell tickets then surely they can’t trade players? Therefore meaning they keep everyone they have on their books?

They certainly can't buy anyone so I assume they can't sell either.

 

A pretty big question is why has it taken so long for him to be added to the list ?

 

Chelsea can:

- pay players
- pay staff
- fulfil fixtures
- sell food and drink in the stadium


Chelsea cannot:

- engage in any transfers
- give any new contracts
- sell any club merchandise
- sell any tickets (fans who have STs will be permitted to attend as already paid)
- spend more than £20k per game on travel

I imagine there are similar sanctions in Belarus than in Russia to prevent the population being influenced by Western media. You get a 14 year jail sentence for watching the BBC or Skynin Russia.

 

Allow the sale with the proceeds going to the Ukraine as war reparations, same for other institutions and individuals assets. If it's not law make it so.

 

Even getting to Lille next week is going to be a struggle to keep down to less than £20k.
