The bit bolded, I'm not outraged by that all, but I'm sure if you've read my comments from the beginning, you know that. I'm more outraged by the double standards of the West. I know Russia is a bigger boy, but it's still double standards, whatever way we twist it. Putin won't stop at Ukraine btw, Moldova will be next once they take Odessa, so your hopes will break down I'm afraid.
Wow…ugh…wa is it gu fo absoluly lufin @BobbyD and Chris rock at their best thread name reminds me of that scene soz
The problem is, the harder it is for Putin to take Ukraine the less likely he is to go after Moldova, Georgia, or Kazakhstan next. If Putin gets Ukraine too easy he will be emboldened to take back other former Soviet states... Ukraine may have not started WWII, but Putin invading another country might. A hard long bloody slog in Ukraine might PREVENT WWIII. Public opinion in Russia will sour to war. The easy fall of Ukraine would have led to Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, etc all falling next. The West would eventually tire of this and a war would happen. Ukraine must not fall too easy to prevent WWIII.
I dont get how putin invading Ukraine to protect Russias interests is any diffrent to us invading Afghanistan and setting up a puppet government to protect our interests for a few years before we rinsed it dry and left them to the taliban again. Its only different cos its not us doing the invading this time imho
Why you telling me, I've already said that early in the thread. However, you need to read what the potato said, it will not end at Ukraine if Putin takes it too easy, so your hopes of an end of the conflict at just Ukraine, would be the contrary.
The major difference is backing by the international community as a whole. Everyone around the world said "don't invade Ukraine", there weren't many people saying "don't invade Afghanistan". And while the motivations for both invasions might have been mainly for self gain, Ukraine is a democratically elected state with good international relations... Afghanistan was a brutal pariah state with very few international relations. But basically it all comes down to, what does the UN think. UN said "Taliban bad, Ukraine good."
Wernt telling you nothing i was just chatting away giving a different perspective to this issue. Of scotland wanted to join the new ussr tomorrow and set uo a base with putins planes there wed invade them too. So whats the ****in problem here? is point Really.
Lol bullshit politikin We invaded another country = good reasons, its different, the righteous west saving the world again. They invade Ukraine and everones crying how bad it is. Jokers
