I don't think there is a way that Russia can win it now. Even if they succeed in taking over Kyiv and killing Zelenskyy, Ukrainians will never accept being ruled by Russia, they will carry on fighting and Russia will not have the capacity to rule as an opposing force indefinitely. Also given that the West are crippling their economy and will continue to do so under any illegal occupation, will probably end any idea that Russia can sustain this over the long term

I think there's going to have to be compromises on both sides though to end it. And I'd suspect it will probably be places like the Donbas and eastern regions that are already sympathetic to Russia becoming Russian Territory. **** knows what will happen with Crimea, and Russia's insistence that Ukraine doesn't join NATO has almost certainly been binned given their aggression towards Ukraine.

Personally always assumed that Russian aims were
A ) Crimea is transferred to Russia
B ) Annexation of the Donbass region
C ) unrestricted land access to Crimea
D ) Ukranian neutrality or binding agreement not to join NATO .

Not convinced they want all of the Ukraine almost better to have a supine country between them and their "enemy" .

I've got nothing wrong, I correctly stated whether it's singular or plural, that generationS in this country have not seen war in 80 years, so on the back of that the Ukraine is going to get annihilated, as we sit back and do nothing, to ensure we supposedly keep world peace.

Putin has played the Nuke card and you start ****ting yourself, because he's sussed out the West, so you keep flying that white flag mate, it makes a change from the red one you normally raise.

I never heard you complaining when NATO dropped bombs of peace on Yugoslavia, you was all happy clappy about it, full of excuses why it had to happen, but Russia is a different kettle of fish, not one we can bully, with our peace bombs. Oh yeah, but, but there was atrocities in Yugoslavia you said, sorry mate, have you closed your eyes to the Ukranian kids getting butchered, it seems so.

Putin is right about the West, I made my point clear about that at the beginning of the thread.

I think the troops who fought in Korea Afghanistan and Iraq x 2 might argue about no wars in 80 years never mind the operations in N Ireland , Aden , Malaya and Cyprus just off the top of my head

It will equate to turning Russia into another Cornwall. Land miles from anywhere, that no one ever invests in, except for the nice castles snapped up by Putin's money brothers.

Lol, maybe we could offer Putin Camborne instead of Kyiv.

It’s got a Poundland and a KFC so I’m sure he’ll be tempted by the offer.

It’s a difficult one because each conflict is different. The bombs in former Yugoslavia forced the Serbs to pull out of Kosovo, and sign a peace agreement. Whereas bombs in Moscow would simply escalate the situation.

ideally, nobody wants any bombs and it’s ****ing sad that the world ain’t like that :(

I think the most likely outcome is a divided Ukraine. Russia takes the East, Ukraine holds the west.

You seem a little confused. Let me make it simple for you; it’s my contention that the world needs less angry hot heads giving it the big ‘un, not more.
