Based on what I've seen tonight the Everton players do not have the right mentality for a relegation scrap. They are deep in the ****. I'd much rather be in Burnley's camp.
Very nice scoreline for Everton today, Watford and Burnley should take heart. Are we getting to the point where, theories emerge that relegation might be good for The Toffees?
Sheringham really is the most disinterested pundit ever. Ties in with what I hear that he’s just not a very nice person.
I remember some touting him for England not long ago Still a lot to prove for me. They actually look a bit like a not as well coached Ralph team without the right sort of players or fitness.
Everton's run-in is horrible. I look at their fixtures and I can see them getting another 6 points maximum. They're f*cked. Burnley on the other hand play Norwich, Watford, Brentford, and of course, they have Dyche, and they are seasoned survivors.
I was susprised that Everton appointed Lampard as it seemed sich a poor fit. You wonder if they would have been better off keeping Benitez. I was listening to the 2nd half commentary on the radio yesterday whilst working and the win seemed all too routine for Spurs. i am not so convinced that their run in quite so diffiult. They should beat Brentford at home and I do not think the Leicester or Wolves games are unwinnable if they get their act together. Both teams have been dropping points. I can see them getting something else out of the Palace and Newcastle matches and the result against Man Utd depends on which version of their team turns up. I wouldmpredict one for win and a few draws to give them between 7 and 9 points, I cannot see any more than this. Looking at Burnley, I think they would be capable of getting a futher 9 points quite easily. As stated, they have experience at dealing with this situations. Looking at the remaining fixures, it will go to the wire.
I think Leeds will be the ones to go down, as Everton only need 1 point from their game(s) in hand (I haven’t looked), because Leeds’ goal difference is so appalling. So, for me, it’ll be Watford, Norwich and Leeds. I do agree with Ian though, it’ll go to the wire.
I would absolutely LOVE it if Everton go down. Those world class dugouts would be a fantastic addition to the championship
Got my ticket for Burnley two days ago expecting a 5.30 Saturday match. Now it’s postponed I expect it to be an 8 pm Midweek match, as all weekends are full of fixtures. I’ll still go but it’s a pain getting to Burnley during the day, so at night it’s a expedition. Not a long journey but loads of little roads. All so we can lose to Citeh big time. Not happy.
Without wishing to prejudge the result, in the words of Marvin Lee Aday "Don't be sad, 'cos two out of three ain't bad" (I still think we'll win)
As far as I can tell, the below matches are still be rearranged. Where the relegation battle is concerned, Everton's two away trips to Burnley and Watford are probably the biggest two matches. Villa v Burnley Burnley v Everton Burnley v Saints Chelsea v Arsenal Chelsea v Leicester Everton v Palace Everton v Leicester Leicester v Norwich Liverpool v Man Utd Man City v Brighton Newcastle v Palace Spurs v Arsenal Watford v Everton
Chelsea banned from signing or selling players so that's Broja heading back to Chelsea at the end of the season. Having said that if the sanctions remain Chelsea will go bankrupt.
